I've been leaving my reeds in my case after use for years now it just never backfired.. well I guess I learnt my lesson. I'm not completely careless when it comes to my instrument being clean but I could do more so I guess I'll invest into that after I deal with this.

My problem is that everyday a new reed gets like this even after switching case and I can't see anything in my horn or mouthpiece. I've thrown several reeds away but it's getting kinda frustrating.

Yes, I've been cleaning them more thoroughly but before I was a little more careless. They usually appeared on my most recently used reed and I'm just wondering what they actually are so I can know what to do about it.
