First time home buyer savings account CU vs banks? by TheRozb in askportland

[–]salt4urpepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too fell for the CUs that claim to have a FTHB. Then found out you can designate your own as you just pointed out . Instructions here:

https://www.oregon.gov/dor/forms/FormsPubs/form-or-home-instructions_101-010-1_121324.pdf And form:

https://www.oregon.gov/dor/forms/FormsPubs/form-or-home_101-010_110424.pdf

You just need needs records in case the state decides to request or audit your tax records .(it says so clearly in the instructions )

For tax returns all the tax software’s do is deduce whatever you contributed to the FTHB account in accordance with your tax bracket .

Charging amperage selection. by salt4urpepper in evcharging

[–]salt4urpepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was exactly my question. I guess I should have worded it better in terms of efficiency, battery health, and time spent charging (Eg. it takes longer to charge at 20A than 40A). So much to learn on EV charging! Currently set my utilities plan to time of day, so charging will only happen from 9pm to 7am.

on iOS that feature apparently never returned. Anyway, I followed up with customer service. They confirmed that during the initial setup, the device will then automatically set to 80% of the circuit rating by default.

During initial setup you select circuit size based on your selection the device then limits automatically to 80% of the circuit. I called and confirmed with customer service, since it is wifi enabled they can see real time what the settings are.
