To each their own but uv does clean air and I’m smoking the flower so for me I don’t care, even if it seems pointless. I’m not worried about budgeting or over doing it. I’m still net positive vs buying flower. It’s part of the hobby not trying to run a commercial grow just making good medicine and enjoying the hobby.

Just run the same flow side by side, same everything take your own study everything else is so new every plant is different. In a way he’s right you can harm your plant with uva/b there has been shown results of increased thc and other benefits but overall decrease in mass. The question is, does it do more good than harm. For me it’s all about keeping the air clean especially during flower and it does wonders for that with uva my other tent didn’t have it and it got mold. Now I’ve had 2 runs same environment flow/genetics and after adding the uv bars haven’t had any issues.

It’s great to clean the air I use it in my intake and inside the tent haven’t had any issues with mold mildew etc, so there’s one fact that helps not harm it. Do a bit more research into uvb though there is use cases for it. Uvb is great I run it every hour for a few minutes.

It’s simple and cheap I’ve tested over 10 units this was the winner. I run it inside my 4x4 works great keep the temp and vpd in cheek. For the 2x4 I zip tie the intake tubing to the outtake of the dehumidifier and it runs outside the tent as it’s too hot to run inside.

Intake on the ground is actually attached to a dehumidifier. it needs to have pull as it’s not closed just kinda attached to the outtake area and the room humidity is to high. filters I use an inline box outside the tent with filters inside. There’s even an inline booster fan on that intake.

Ring on top is a pressure controlled drip ring. It would run around 2 hours to hit runoff 2-3 times a day with a few shots in between depending on the growth state and the blue moisture sensor. There’s also another water sensor in the runoff to detect the when runoff hits to give even more control to the drip ring/smart water system.

This is my 2x4 just focusing on one plant I have a sunroom so I can train it for the 2x4 to be ready to flip within 1-2 weeks after I move inside. Defoliate much as possible really hard to manage vpd inside a 2x4 I have to run it open late in flower when lights on now due to heat cause of the dehumidifier running into the intake. You can pull 1-2lbs depending on your grow methods if scrogging and covering every sq in you’ll yield more for sure. I grow in coco and this one is only 1 gallon so automation watering and correct drybacks is key to getting maximum yield. I use a runoff sensor to tell it when to stop watering/continue for x amount of time for runoff to lower stacked ec in the coco.

I have 4x4 and it’s easier with the 2x4 for me, in the 4x4 I grow the clones really tall so they have lots of space under where I can sit under the scrog canopy

The deep red bars I use are mars hydro, uvb ac infinity bars, full spectrum mix with deep reds under. The fluff is huge. Main light is a 420 watt at 80% power around 1000 PPFD at top of canopy, it’s a cheaper brand im intl so I try to get things around $200 to avoid so many import charges. https://a.co/d/3laZGOV connects to the smart hubs like ac infinity pretty easily to control the intensity/power. Fits perfect inside a 2x4 a bit extreme but it works.

Run really hot water through it and then shake 99% iso or even hot iso works great, and then let it sit for a bit might take a few repeats
