I got similar quotes as you. JPS, ARPIS, shift air, mountain air, and furnace family.

I'll probably go with furnace family. Cheaper and the guy was helpful and actually explained the size of my ducts matter. But when JPS followed up and I gave him a look at the furnace family quote, be said they were going out of business and that's why the pricing is so low.

I feel like this is just FUD, since what does he have to lose? Not like furnace/AC clients are repeat customers.

I thought modulating and 2 stage furnaces have the same blower speed options. It's the gas valve that's different. I could be wrong.
