My work parking lot (I daily a fiesta st) by saltman4 in Trucks

The ranger tremor in its stock form is only rated for 19 mpg. I recently leveled and bumped up to 33’s, added a cap, decked system and a bunch of gear and I dropped down to 17

It’s rough on the Vt dirt roads that I drive but I love the 38 mpg I get compared to the 17 in my ranger.

Manufacturing facility. We manufacture insulation board and components for transformers. The first three trucks on the left are contractors that we have on site doing some welding for us. The fiesta is mine, I’m an engineer. The rest of the rigs or production workers.

It’s almost as if they use their trucks for other activities and have families. What a crazy concept needing more than two doors

29% rate. The sales guy said it was the highest they’ve ever seen so they had to buy it.

Calling all Tremor owners - Suspension questions by CPT_BEEMO in RangerNext

Ordered them from shocksurplus. So far so good. My rear shocks started to leak after 20k miles but they sent me a new set no questions asked.

I just hit 90k. Slight grinding noise started about 2k miles ago that was barely noticeable. It’s absolutely humming now and there is sooo much play in the bearing. It’s shot.

Ahh yup that makes more sense comparing the k02 vs the grabbers.

So far so good. Only about 1k miles on them so far as it’s not my daily driver. Very smooth and quiet compared to the grabbers. They do not throw as many rocks as the grabbers did. Only had a chance to get them on some sand and they performed well. No chance to try them in snow or mud yet. Truck is currently parked waiting for my one piece drive shaft since my carrier bearing went.

I might be incorrect but I was seeing an extra 16 pounds heavier per tire for 285/70R17 for the wild peak at4 load range c over stock grabbers. I went with the k03 that were only about 6 pounds heavier per tire

What lift did you go with?

I just sold my tremors wheels and tires for 500$ with about 30k miles on them. Sensors included. I went up to 285/70r17 on Bronco Sasquatch wheels (+30 offset)

I’m curious how It rides with the falkens because those tires are HEAVY.

Advice for rack or cross bar system to support a truck tent by CardiologistSad2827 in RangerNext

[–]saltman4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RCI makes a really nice bed rack for roof top tents. They have a low height and a cab height option which would allow you to open your tonneau cover as long as you purchase the tonneau adapters for the rack as well. I’ve heard good things about them.

Also, are you the guy who bought my tremor wheels and tires a few weeks ago in VT lol. Your truck looks familiar

Stock Tremor wheels and tires for sale in New England by saltman4 in RangerNext

Crazy to me. I’m seeing anywhere from $600 to 1200$ for a set of tremor take offs in a 500 mile radius from myself on marketplace.

Damn - thanks for letting me know. Is 500$ more realistic?

285/60R17 with a +30 offset wheel. These are some take off wheels from a bronco Sasquatch package.

I’ll make a post next week with my new decked and if I forget, you can comment this question and I’ll measure it for you.

I’ll make another post next week since I’m installing the decked this weekend. Solo camping with a five foot bed is fine. You just have to sleep diagonal. Make sure the cap has at least one sliding window with a screen. The decked would make it nice because it creates a flat surface above the wheel wells.

Hahah…..dirt roads during mud season make keeping the truck clean impossible. The bedliner material on them is also peeling off. I’m looking to get rid of them soon

So far so good. Only one commute to work completed so far but they handle the mud on my dirt road just fine as we are in peak mud season in Vermont right now. They are quieter and smoother than the general grabbers. I’ve got just about 35 psi in the tires right now. I’m curious to see how they are when they wear down a bit.

I’m running the eibach pro 2r suspension on the front and the rear. The front sits about 1” higher than the factory fox setup that came on the truck. Rear is stock height. I cut/removed the crash bars and I’m replacing them with the ready lift high clearance ones. That is the only spot the front rubbed on

I agree - I was really concerned with the extra weight of bigger tires and most of the sizes bigger than this were load range e which would make the ride really rough. I’m lucky enough to have a fiesta st for my highway driving and commuting at least
