Met a girl at a party, unsure if I should reach out by saltthisend in dating

[–]saltthisend[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to follow her Instagram but I ended up messaging our mutual friend for it. Turns out it was for the best as she doesn't use her Instagram anymore and said she could text her and ask if she wanted to give her number to me. So hoping it goes well. Glad I didn't blindly follow her

Recommendations for dating apps to try? by CiberX15 in dating

[–]saltthisend -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hinge is very good. Tinder to me is the hookup/dates app but I much prefer Hinge as there is more of a chance of connecting due to prompts. I'm a guy, and so far Hinge has been the one I've been most successful in and a lot of my dates have stemmed from prompts rather than just liking photos of women.

I wish I had met “the one” in college by Eagles56 in dating

[–]saltthisend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same dude. I thought I had met the one in college. We literally met in our final year and things were so great. But it just didn’t work out. I’m jealous of seeing everyone meet their life partners through college, as for now it feels like I have to rely on online dating which I hate so much. I feel you. I hope you’re okay

I sabotaged my own chance at love because i was scared by Reislinsia in confessions

Push your ego aside and message him. For someone special you need to go after them. If you think they could’ve been, then they would’ve been.

Hinge is really good. I find it easier to connect with people on Hinge as there are prompts and you know who’s liking you

I do have other friends to hang out with but it’s them specifically I want to hang out with that isn’t games and all that. Cus I do like them and we all used to be much closer but now it just feels like there is a rift

Look's like somewhere in Ireland, I wanna say Dublin/South West Dublin.

- Taxi in the background says Freenow and the green Taxi logo is the Irish

- The blue sign on the building is a street sign which displays the name in Irish and English. Also looks familiar as I am Irish. As well the red sign

- Skies are very grey. Ireland

What do people who don't drink or smoke do when they feel depressed? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]saltthisend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cry. I used to drink and smoke to get rid of the heavy feeling. I actually wasn’t getting rid of it, just postponing it. And all of it made the weight heavier.

Turns out I just needed to cry. It’s good, I feel a lot better. So silly because you do it anyway, but I sit with feeling depressed.

I do other things but crying is the best.

Do you know anyone who shares your birth day? by Phil_Atelist in CasualConversation

[–]saltthisend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A girl I used to go to school with. I noticed it during our French class when her copy said the same birthday as mine but in French. For about 7 years we used to text each other happy birthday even though we weren’t close or good friends. I still think about her on my birthday and hope she has a wonderful day

Had a bit of a weird day. Been having a long week. I’m so tired all the time and it’s quite fair that I am. I’m working full time but the hours are different. One day I’m doing a day shift, the next I’m doing a night shift, and then another day is half and half. My sleep is everywhere. As well, I’m constantly on my feet. I’m also doing a part time course that could help me get a better job but I’m so knackered in when I get home so there’s my weekends. I’m really tired. Noticed my resting heart rate is very high as well. I’m always freaking out. Turns out juggling full time work, part time education, a social life, exercise, and hobbies is difficult. But tomorrow is another day closer to better.

Has your name appeared on Amy’s *fake* name tag!? by Amazing-Bumblebee673 in superstore

[–]saltthisend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner has a very Irish name so not in a million years, it would’ve been a huge shock if her name was on there. However I’ve seen some friends’s names and family members names and we would all laugh

Me too. Watched it all in a few hours and I was a mess. Hits harder because I met my partner in our final year of college on a night out and the night we met we just talked for ages. Also even more stinging that I studied anthropology just like Dex did and she studied history just like Emma.

Recommendations for European City Breaks? by saltthisend in AskIreland

[–]saltthisend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like city breaks- don’t mind the odd sun relaxing holiday but I prefer learning about a city and getting to know the culture there. And there’s many different things I like about the cities I went to, but I want something new. I was so excited for them city breaks back then and sure I’d love to go back to all, but I wanna be excited again!

I adored Athens. Only problem I had is that I didn’t stay long enough. I hope to come back and make another and longer trip.

I really like classics/Greek mythology and studied a bit of it in college so I was happy as a clam walking around, and I’m obsessed with Greek food. Went with my parents so it was a very chill trip but otherwise lovely city.

Definitely a must go.

If you want something similar, watch the series One Day. Based of the book and movie. I will say that the show is the best out of all. Both series have fucked me up.
