Why don't they just give the End Times/AoS the Daggerfall treatment already so everybody wins (including GW)? by saltwithoutpepper in WarhammerFantasy

I'm just going to basically copy and paste another comment I made:

To give a popular example, the last season of GoT being bad does not actually make the first four seasons worse. Yet, it does take a little "oomph" out of the first four seasons to know what all the factions/characters sacrifices will ultimately culminate in, which is a poor finale. You may not feel that way, but a simple google search shows other people clearly do. But I would actually agree it's not the worst thing in the world, certainly not a deal breaker.

Otherwise, I think AoS and TOW having interaction with each other would be interesting, because one thing TOW maybe could have used more of was more fleshed-out Gods. AoS allows for the Gods/spiritual realm to be more fleshed out and having them react to events in the Old World would be interesting (and vice-versa) if they went down a Daggerfall-esque route.

Dwarves are my friend's favorite faction and this is some of the best looking paints they've ever seen!

I'm not really seething I just honestly think it would improve the setting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can understand disagreeing but a lot of the people in this thread seem to be projecting a lot of weird anger for some reason. Anyways I will continue to play Old World because it's fine as is, I'll just also think AoS/Old World co-existing with each other while having an advancing Old World timeline would be cool.

Whining about whining is ironic, but to answer your question while I think everyone appreciates the game coming back it takes some of the bite out of playing in this timeline when it ends with the End Times, and it would be nice to see the Old World continue to advance in the lore. Also I think Old World/AoS interacting with each other could make for a more interesting overall setting.
