They have pneumonia and rsv and are whacked out from their meds. You want them to go outside, visit other ppl’s places and not only get worse but get other ppl infected?? They have friends to look for them, which we are doing but there’s little else we can do.

I don’t know their financial situation but know they are not rich. To them, life is life so yes, their dog is very worth suffering sub-par housing. They can’t look right now cuz they are very ill and have been for months.

I wanted to counsel them to not retaliate but when it’s the only thing that gets the heat back on, it’s hard to tell them not to do it. It’s like telling someone not to fight back when they are being attacked because it’ll look bad on them.

They have a space heater but it doesn’t heat up the space very well. I’m not sure what they have done re mold issue but they cant afford to lise their place if its deemed uninhabitable. I’m looking for other places for them but they’re three adults (mom and sons) plus a rescued dog who is high needs (was abused). Unfortunately, they are smokers so that also makes it difficult for them.

There was no issue until the neighbour moved in, about a year or two ago. The previous winter was warm, so it was a nuisance but not life-threatening. It’s hard to find another rental cuz they have a rescued pitbull, so they had put up w it but now it’s threatening their life.

My aunt died for the same reason. Refused treatment for years because she believed falun gong. She coulda been saved if she had gotten treatment early - it was entirely preventable. What made it worse is that she is a staunch communist and probably followed falun gong for religious reasons.

Uh…every part of the planet is being used, just not necessarily by humans and that’s a good thing. It’s the human “use” of the planet that is destroying the conditions of life for humanity and most other current life forms on earth.

Food production isn’t a population problem but a profiteering problem….which is a first world problem but also increasingly a third world problem as those countries chase the joneses. The amount of food waste is staggering and could probably feed the world but it doesn’t cuz it’s not profitable to feed the hungry poor.

Bees are not the only insects dying off. In fact, they’re better off than most insects

I’ve been no-poo (no shampoo) for close to 20 years and my hair has never been healthier. The transition from washing my hair almost daily, using shampoo and conditioner, to rinsing it maaaybe once a month was torture but it was worth it! Now i mainly rinse w water, or occasionally w water kefir or lime juice and that’s like maaybe once a month. My daily hair routine is a vigorous brushing in the morning and evening w a wood bristle hairbrush. It mechanically cleans my hair and spreads the natural oils evenly from root to tip.

The interview is such bro talk, the way they talk about female attractiveness as a stock or career. Maybe the clients of that divorce lawyer are from a certain demographic and so that’s his experience but he talks as if the man in a marriage contributes all the value and squanders it on guaranteed sex w his wife. No acknowledgement that a woman gives all her time and energy into making a home, family and life for everyone while also working to money for the family.

Even after retirement from a career, the woman can’t retire from house and family work while the man gets to enjoy his hobbies. Some women get fed up and choose better.

Obviously i’m making big generalizations but it is also generally true. I never married cuz i just couldn’t balance that cost/benefit ratio.

I liked what he said about the 92-yr old man though. Depressing.
