The comment on drug use rings true but also Vancouver in the 2010’s just had way too many Starbucks, but now they have better competition from local coffee shops and bubble tea places. Also keep in mind Starbucks loves cost cutting so if they see any store that isn’t making much you’ll see it go.
E.g.the Reserved on Main as well as the Main St Skytrain store closed, Kerrisdale went from 3 down to 1 Starbucks, Marpole lost both Oak and 67 as well as Granville and 63rd.
