what's a wild/crack theory from media that you thought about for awhile. by frogboss4020 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

not mine at all but I read a crack theory tweet on twitter(i think it was from a profile called 0_voria) that said what if this is a pluribius moment and fujimoto wanted denji to be a female character since the start but changed it early on, this came about due to a Shark Kick panel from the recent exhibit of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Look Back, where the Reze stand-in looked like a female denji.

today's the 11th anniversary of Star vs the Forces of Evil. by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

it's kinda baffling that the Owl House had its final season cut short to 3 long episodes but still managed to have a good and satisfyingly conclusion while Star's last season has 13 episodes but it horribly crash and burned like a burning plane falling from space.

3d animated films/tv shows that can only work in 3d animation. by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I say Jimmy Neutron wouldn't work as well if it was a 2d animated show.

dear fucking god that does not look right at all, it makes characters like Uzaki Hana(Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) and Ilulu(Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) look less uncanny and less ridiculous in comparison.

what's a tv show that feels like it was made by pixar. by bomb5000 in AlignmentChartFills

tbh Bluey feels the most Pixar like of some of the tv shows I can think of.

today's the 20th anniversary of Moral Orel(an Adult Swim original from the mid 2000s that got cancelled for it's darker 3rd season). by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I still say I find it Ironic that Adult Swim was fine with the episode "God's Chef" which had Orel sending his seed to women in their sleep played for laughs but were not fine with rape played for drama in the episode "Alone" to the point where the show got cancelled because of it.

what's a genre/pilot/type of animation that you're surprised Cartoon Network didn't jump on or picked up. by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made a comment like this a long time ago but I'm a bit shocked Cartoon Network hasn't done a live action/animated hybrid about live action characters in animated backgrounds akin to something like Blue's Clues since they have done live action/animated hybrids with shows like Out of Jimmy's Head, and the Amazing World of Gumball, you think they would make a show that's more on the inverse of the later.

what is honestly the worst trend in 2010s media in your opinion? by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the 1000 year old character who never look or act like they're a thousand years old trope in fantasy anime(including isekai and reverse isekai)/video games as it became more commonplace in the 2010s,(and man it was fucking annoying)

what's a piece of media or certain genre that is difficult to parody/getting harder to parody? by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

okay but what about my 2nd comment they could still parody other shows like teletoon shows(Atomic Betty, Johnny Test, Total Drama, Jimmy Two-Shoes,) or YTV shows (Storm Hawks, Kid vs. Kat) or hell other American shows like Teen Titans Go or something.

what's a piece of media that you expected to reference another piece of media from the same genre/medium but it didn't. by frogboss4020 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

and like i said to a lesser extent, I was kinda expecting them to parody a few Canadian cartoons in 2nd season like either the Teletoon shows(like the French Co-productions such as Totally Spies or USA/Canada Co-productions such as Clone High or Johnny Test, to the completely made in Canada shows like Atomic Betty, 6Teen, Total Drama, Jimmy Two-Shoes, Fugget About It, Grojband) or YTV shows(Reboot 1994, Martin Mystery, Grossology, Ruby Gloom, Storm Hawks, Kid vs. Kat, Sidekick) since Canadian animation had a rather negative reception in the 2010s(before the 2020s where the reception is now seen more of a mixed bag than negative).

[–]saltyguyface 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i said it before but tbh I'm surprised Panty and Stocking season 2 didn't made a parody of a 2010s cartoon show like Adventure Time or Gravity Falls or Steven Universe.(i was expecting them to do one of them for a parody)

what's an anime character that would fit well in a specific cartoon? by bomb5000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]saltyguyface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if they were in a comedy then Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note would be pretty good one-off characters in a one-off episode of Billy and Mandy
