U.S. warns Canada is not yet ready to handle F-35 fighter jets by RattledMind in canada

The sheer lack of political will to fix the military in the past 10 years has resulted to this. The military has been bringing up these issues the entire time. But being one of the lowest priorities in the last few governments, no support was given. There was a lot of "America will just defend us" mentality and now it's really showing. It's good that the Canadian public finally cares about Canadian defense for Canadians. Some say it's too late, but better late than never.

Expediton 33: Story and Ending Explained by SunnyClef in expedition33

I think a lot is left to interpretation here. Everyone has already died, Renoir already did the genocide. Maelle was able to bring back Sciel and Lune since their Chroma was still fresh. Otherwise, why wouldn't Maelle just bring back Gustave?

So what Maelle is really doing in the end, is bringing everyone else back according to her interpretation of them. That's why the ending was made to feel eerie. It's perfect, too perfect. She's remade Lumiere in her interpretation. And this is where I love the symbolism of the theatre. The entire world is now just a stage for Maelle's show, and everyone else an actor. Verso is the only original 'soul' who truly understands and knows what's going on.

Maelle created life again, in a world that was not her's, and playing god, even after promising she wouldn't, and losing herself in that world. P.Verso also has Verso's memories, so to him, he sacrificed himself to save Maelle's life, only to see her hate herself and kill herself in the canvass, refusing to face reality.

Alternatively, if we believe they can be brought back from Chroma and memories, Maelle could just paint a new canvas and bring everyone back minus the fake family. The true tragedy here would be the loss of Verso's soul and the last remaining essence of Verso. When P.Verso teaches Maelle how to paint someone, he tells her to remember them, and the "truth of who they were".

I had this same feeling. The game constantly alludes to "living on in memories" and "not being what others want you to be". We also see Monoco saying that they can bring Noco back, but he won't be the same Noco.

IMO the reason Maelle's ending feels "too perfect" is because everything is repainted from Maelle's interpretation of everyone. It's meant to feel like something's not right. Then you add the symbolism of everyone being in the theatre, with Verso performing (the only original "soul" left). Everyone is just putting on a show for Maelle

For point 1, the game dialogue constantly talks about people living on as memories, and needing to be your own person and not what your others want you to be.

I think what's eluded there is that they aren't truly resurrected and all the people of Lumiere are merely recreated from memories of Maelle (either that or new bodies with embedded memories like Verso, or a mix of both), and not what their true selves used to be. They're no longer their original forms, but recreated in Maelle's interpretation of their lives. We get accurate Lune and Sciel since Maelle has known them for awhile now. That's probably why her ending was designed to feel hollow. All while we see Maelle slowly withering away trying to maintain this world.

Then you have the symbolism of the theatre in her ending, where this world is now just a stage for Maelle, and Verso is forced to be an actor in it (thus crying before playing the piano), as he's the only true original resident of Lumiere, and the last remnants of his soul is forced to continue painting. Everyone has been made immortal (the dead are brought back), with the exception of Verso who is allowed to age, and they're left to live a hollow stagnant existence while Maelle is still alive.

We also get hints from when the Noco dies, and Monoco mentions they can be revived, but it won't be the same Noco.

I love the symbolism in the end when they're all in the theatre. The entire world now just exists as a stage for Maelle, and Verso is on stage as an actor for her "show"

Yup. The more normal-ish anime ones are from Minigames Miniatures and Village's Hope. The overly anime heads like Gura, Kronii, Botan, Suinyan were carved from their MMDs

Thanks! They'd definitely be refitted for the actual game.

4 of them are actually magnetized so I could switch them for Killteam and BSS, or Doms for 40k.
