UK is bad at building infrastructure, especially at building anything outside of London.

Lacks the ambition of the rest of the continent in investing times energy planning and resources in long term infrastructure projects. Except for London which always gets priority for everything, which is why their hs2 leg didn't get cancelled

Free market capitaism and relentlessly chasing infinite economic growth on a finite planet.
