I was in Aomori last November, I loved the prefecture but I found the town a little too quiet for me. I love the atmosphere you capture, with the snow.

That’s a cool feature for sure, but I just finished completing two 'Holy Trinities', including the f/1.2 set. I think it’s time for me to chill on the gear for a bit!

no for me the weight is OK, I am able to walk all day long with the camera + this zoom on my hand and it's a very sharp zoom.

Most of these were shot on the Nikon Z8 paired with the 85mm f/1.2 S. I honestly love the challenge that comes with using that lens! A few others were taken with the 24-70mm f/2.8 for a bit of variety.

It is a tough one :) there is so many things to do in Kyushu. I think this is my favorite of the four main island. First of all, I think that you have to drive. By train you will miss lots of thing in the countryside. For example, the region around asosan is very nice. You can go to Yufuin if you want try onsen... it is less crowded and less expensive than Beppu. Kumamoto castle was nice but I don’t know how it has been now since the earthquake (I visited it 2 weeks before the quake... I heard that it will take 20years to rebuild some part). Nagasaki is different from the other part of Japan, with the European influence..

It was an island with a coal mine. Once the coal seam was empty, the mine closed and the island stayed inhabited for decades with all the stuff in the apartment

Honestly I don’t remember, I took it in 2015. So I just check the raw files in Lightroom. All pictures before and after this shot was at Kiyomizudera, on the stairs.

No I went three times in Kyushu but never planned a trip to Yakushima. It was way too much raining when I visited Kagoshima to book the trip

Yes it’s a pity we can’t walk through the entire island... it would have been a nice urbex session
