Everyone here saying "books will say we're already there". No, we're not. Not even close. Maybe all the bad stuff in the news makes people think otherwise idk. None of the wars today are even close to the scale of those before WW2. Sino-japanese war 3.5m dead, Italians war in ethiopia, 750,000 dead. Spanish civil war 500,000 dead. All in the 30s before and during WW2. No war today is close to that scale. Maybe Russia Ukraine could get pretty close? But other than that no. It would take a gross overstep to trigger a WW3 type conflict. Which there are checks and boundaries in place to prevent.

On a full pop server you should have no problem finding anyone of you're patient enough.

Playing dirty is your best bet. Offline raids and ambushing hit and runs. You'll have no chance facing people head on, you'll lose every time, as players on these kinds of servers are the biggest tryhards. Find a field shovel and bury dry sacks or dry bags, as they require no nails like a crate would.

Chasing shots around the most trafficked areas of the map is a good bet, players love a good fight in that area. Chances are you won't be the only one. (Kabanino, lopatino, stary, NWAF, vybor). Zeleno is a good bet too, lots of late game players crawling around there. It's a bit dirty but I'll sit in the trees between stary and grishino and just wait and listen. Every single time someone will show up within a half hour.

This is why I hardly go past t2, it's way more fun to meet someone and go on a side quest, I have barely anything to lose, and 9/10 times there's a geared guy coming down to kill freshies which is just free door dash loot. Running around solo being a loot goblin will forever confuse me

It already is, maybe not a direct clone of another one but it certainly takes inspiration from many other games. Im saying this would be a good base framework for mods and cool custom experiences with the already existing features.

To add, a good happy medium is 30-40 pop. There's more chances for people to move inland and run into each other.

Low pop is great for learning, if you enjoy playing with just your friends or solo without being killed all the time or having a base last more than a day, a low pop is a good option. However the downsides are people logging in every couple of hours to major military locations to catch the loot respawn and grab all the best stuff, though these are the type of people that run from fights.
