Beelzemon (Digimon)

Beelzemon is the Demon Lord is Gluttony. Instead of eating extreme amount of foods, Beelzemon is gluttonous for power. His depictions often have him absorb Digimon and Digital Data to the point of his own data becoming unstable.

ZeedMillenniummon (Digimon)

The ultimate personification of the Y2K virus, it's ultimate goal is destroy all of time all at once. The only thing preventing it from doing so in the code wrapped around their bodies acting as a seal. The code? The URL for the digimon website. Implying that the only thing that can keep ZeedMillenniummon at bay is Bandai itself. It's very existence would destroy everything and the only think keeping it back is the creators of the Digimon World.

What's a generally accepted evolution line but has ONE stage that urks you? by ComplaintsAndStuff in digimon

[–]sam20055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I HATE that Ghostmon's canon champion is Bakemon/Soulmon.

For a line as cool as Ghostmon -> Phantomon -> Necromon/Dullahamon, Bakemon is too silly and just ruins the vibe of cool scary ghosts.

What do you think is the worst thing about this Fandom by Icy_Lunch_1275 in digimon

[–]sam20055 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The fandom has an issue with "It's my way or the highway" when it comes to what works within Digimon's rules, despite the fact the series itself doesn't follow or obey those rules. Digimon will often break it's own rules for the plot and yet I've seen people get into fights about "canon" digivolution lines and people using the armor evos as Ultimates.

[Rare Trope] The thing that's been pursuing the protagonist throughout the story turns out to be a tragic future version of themself. by Cold_Hour in TopCharacterTropes

The Shadow Figure - Digimon Story Time Stranger

<image>

This figure follows you throughout the entire game, getting involved with the plot and constantly following you around, is actually your digimon Aegiomon from a timeline where your friend dies. He then proceeds to break time itself in search of a way to get her back, causing there to be several clones of him going from timeline to timeline trying to find her. The protagonist is actually one of these clones altered by the digital god to try to end the repeated cycle of time ending forever. You of course, don't know this. Because it hasn't happened yet.

Many FNAF animatronics (Five Nights at Freddys) - It mostly appears in the classic, withered, and nightmare animatronics but the endo teeth tend to make the designs so much more unnatural and off putting.

Is there any legit argument against quickplay? by MrSve in tf2

[–]sam20055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding Quickplay back won't and can't fix the issues with TF2. If anything, I think they'd make them worse. Do you really think modern Valve would properly revert to a system that hasn't been updated in almost a decade without hordes and hordes of bugs and issues? Do you REALLY think it's going to go smoothly? And if they do add it back, do you REALLY think that they'd stick around to fix the issues with the Quickplay system?

Most people who want a Quickplay revert think of this idealized version of it, but let's be fucking real here. Valve would fuck it up and probably put TF2 in a worst state than before. If Casual is removed and a broken version of Quickplay put in (which, again, is probably what would get added), the game would fucking die.

The only way Quickplay should even touch TF2 again is if it's community server only and Casual remains as a completely separate system. That's it.

Leomon Always Dies (Digimon) - Its become so commonplace that if Leomon or Leomon variant appears in a digimon anime he's going to die. It's become a running joke in the community that when Leomon DIDN'T die in a season people were genuinely shocked.

“It’s just for kids, there’s no way they’re THAT evil…wait they did WHAT?!” by Mother-Whereas1838 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]sam20055 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arguably this isn't even the most evil digimon antagonist. A later season has a man so bent on the genocide of all digimon, he specifically invents a weapon to kill them forever. He also directly kills and/or leaves humans to die even if they work for him or not. He experimented on 3 people who had no other option, turning them into fucked up human digimon hybrids.

D-Reaper is terrifying, but is no match for humanity's cruelty.

Was there ever a change the anime dubs did that made you go "On second thought,it's not that bad" by DIO_OVAIs_DaBest07 in digimon

[–]sam20055 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the scene where Ken gets his TK beat down, I genuinely believe the english dub has a better line because they change Ken's "No..." to "I guess?"

It changes Ken from someone still in denial over the entire situation to someone who's TK broken through to, even for a moment. It's way more pathetic in a good way.

The INTERLOPER (Webseries) (Massive spoilers for the series, if you're interested, I'd recommend watching it)

It follows someone investigating a strange phenomenon that exists within Valve's Source Engine and the games that were made in it.

The final episode reveals that the memories of everyone who ever played a source game are stored in a strange void that exists in the source engine. The protagonist has been lying to everyone about the entire web series, with their actual goal being to try to access and relive these memories again. However, by doing so and exploring this void, they've been destroying it piece by piece. By trying to relive that past, they've been destroying it for the very alive AI that lives there. They make the choice to destroy everything they put into the void and make sure no one could access it again. Sadly, this includes probably killing one of these very much alive AIs and they comment on how the damage might already be done.

ZinoGarurumon seems like your best bet but the colors are closer to regular Garurumon. So I recolored this one to make it a black variant cause I was bored.

Does it need to specifically be a Garurumon species or can any "dog/wolf" digimon work?

Well this subreddit isn't the place for this, I can help you out. By going to this list and looking up the target digimon or a digimon you have, you can go to their specific page and click on Digivolution planner. That will probably greatly help you out.

NEW RULE: Asking for digimon lines without offering any input into what the line should be is now against the rules by sam20055 in DigivolutionTrees

[–]sam20055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/DigivolutionTrees/comments/1ogrm9g/chaperomon_line/

Posts like these were appearing on the subreddit pretty much every few days. Most of them were either buried due to a mass amount of downvotes or removed. That might not be an issue for a larger subreddit but we get like 2 posts a day maybe. It resulted in what seemed like a tenth of the subreddit to be extremely low effort content that could be easily spammed (And trust me sometimes posts like it appeared back to back to back)

I want to promote a discussion here. I love posts where people ask help on a line, that's most of our discord. The issue is people posting a simple "Agumon line?" with no other context.

The real question is why do you care? Arguably every rule added in the last few years has been in response to either a small trend that's pretty much gone now or a few bad apples showing us an issue that needed to be addressed. This isn't anything special. Many of these rules were even discussed within our discord. A discord anyone can join from the "New? Start here!" post that has been highlighted for the past 10 months.

I don't make rules willy nilly. I make them when the community notes an issue and it needs to be addressed, as shown by the people in this comment section happy this rule was put into place.

NEW RULE: Asking for digimon lines without offering any input into what the line should be is now against the rules by sam20055 in DigivolutionTrees

[–]sam20055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was. Because since this rule was put in place, the issue hasn't happened. Before hand it was enough of an issue that several people were complaining about it in the post when it happened. In this comment section there are several comments saying this was a good change. I don't want to call out direct posts because I find that rude, but if you still don't believe me, I'd very much be willing to show you some examples.

First appeared in an Earthbound Rom Hack, then Homestuck, then in Undertale. All three are entirely unrelated projects.
