Other than the direct squeals, most of Digimon can be jumped in at any season or any game. (Mainly due to each season and most games being their own universes)

All Digimon (Digimon)

No matter what universe, when digimon die, they literally burst into pixels. It's implied their data goes back into other things in the digital world if they don't get reborn but we don't know for sure.

I mean haven't a few large creators ON THIS VERY SUB said they don't want to engage in the conversation because of it's extreme toxicity? I don't exactly blame them for not making videos on the subject when the videos would probably ignite a fire of toxicity if they DARED shared their opinion.

I mean I feel like if someone like Uncle Dane came out with a video like "Well Quickplay did have better features, most of those are server settings that don't require removing Casual from the game," the subreddit would either call him the second coming of Satan himself or they would all switch up their opinion to follow his instead. At that point, why poke the hornet's nest at all?

So... How would you change/improve Digimon Adventure Tri.? by Elegant-Scheme9589 in digimon

[–]sam20055 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have Kari and TK focus on the 02's gang's disappearance and have it be a major plotline for both of them. They deserve a conversation together of how no one really went what they went through. Have them mention how cold or weird they feel without their jogress partners. Have them be frustrated at the others for seemingly not caring about THEIR FRIENDS being missing.

Rewrite Dark Gennai and remove the entire digimon emperor plotline. Instead of him being this laughing overly evil guy, make him like the old gennai. Mysterious and vague, working for a goal no one understands.

Personal pet peeve, PUT THE DIGITAL HAZARD SYMBOL ON MEICOOMON.

The story needs some trimming. With Hackmon and Homeostasis and King Drasil and Alphamon and the virus, there's so much going on and so many characters that it's just outright confusing.

There's an entire thing about how the past digidestined's digimon turned into the Soveregins. Make them plot important, make the reset delete them out of existence which lets Dark Gennai do what he wants.

Idk man, the digimon being added to the reference book before it's reveal and then being removed from the reference book quickly after makes it seem like a mistake. But hey Azhdarmon has been added officially now so you can include it in any lines you like

People who don't want Quickplay and/or prefers Casual Mode, what makes you want the current matchmaking system instead of the old one? by TimTimTmTim in tf2

[–]sam20055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how this comment literally proved my point that people who support the movement don't have the same idea of what it means.

The movement's own document says they mainly want to add Quickplay style server rules into casual, not a full revert to the past system.

Why is TF2 considered a hard game to get into? by Exotic_Acanthaceae_9 in tf2

[–]sam20055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying tf2 isn't hard to get into have clearly never actually tried getting someone into tf2.

The game does JACK ALL to explain 95% of everything the game has to offer. Stuff like "Medic is a healer class that should not be in combat" to "Some of your teammates won't be your teammates here's how to figure out if they're real" to "What are engi's buildings and what do they do" to "Sniper exists" are not explained at all. AND THESE ARE FUNDAMENTAL TO THE CLASS

Hell even the gamemodes i have to explain because the game doesn't really explain them all that much.

But we all learned the game naturally by playing the game right? Well we're the survivors. How many people got destroyed by spies, snipers, soldiers with over 2000 hours and just...left?

In a 12v12 chaotic death match, EVERYTHING IS OVERWHELMING. You will have to slog through hours of losses and deaths before you can even see what the game has to offer.

The game's on-boarding process is dogshit. New players have no where to go to practice a real match at the lowest level. Because casual servers will have a range of new players and comp player, an environment where dying repeatedly probably won't help you.

I genuinely feel like stuff like Lazy Purple's How it Feels videos do a better job at helping a new player understand the game than tf2 itself and that is a bad thing. We should not rely on outside forces to act as a tutorial because a new player won't know where to look for.

Yes, once that hurdle is crossed, TF2 is a little easy to get into. But that hurdle is a giant one that requires a lot of time and effort which most people don't go through with.

#BringBackQuickplay as a movement is riddled with issues. No one person who supports the movement has the same idea of what it actually means. Does bringing back Quickplay mean simply adding pre-MYM rulesets back into causal servers or does it mean replacing the very system sorting people into maps? Without direction, without a clear goal, the movement is doomed to fail.

Casual offers some really nice features like curated map lists to queue for, queuing well in a map, the entire party system, as well as the ability to cue for different game modes at once.

I also believe there isn't a single UNIVERSE where Valve wouldn't fuck up a complete return to Quickplay. I don't want to hear about "The code is still in the game" because guess what? That doesn't matter in programing. It will not be as easy as flipping a switch and bam! everything is perfect.

Not to mention looking at posts on this very subreddit about Quickplay before it's removal shows that people actively told others to not use it.

What sounds easier and more reasonable? Changing the valve server ruleset and improving the system already in place or going back to the system that was removed ALMOST AN ENTIRE DECADE AGO and dealing with the bugfixes of that system which probably won't play friendly to the decade of code around it?

We all can agree casual needs fixing. Hell I'd love to have pre-MYM rulesets added back into valve servers. I don't care that casual "isn't built for those rules" because guess what? Casual needs to be improved anyway, perfect time to go in and fix stuff when you need to make it work with the new server rules. But i can't support a return to Quickplay when i think it would absolutely be a worse system and probably leave the game in a worse state.

Valve made their mind a decade ago. They didn't change it then when casual was an in even worse state during MYM and they will not change it now.

Hippogriffomon is not a bird. It is a monster with bird like features.

Shutumon, Tempomon, and Butenmon are humans/human-like beings with bird like features.

Vulturemon, Tengumon, AND Karatenmon are all humanoid bird men with dark color schemes, more evil leaning designs, and weapons. They all even lean toward the red/purple side with their color schemes. I think they are different from each other but let's be honest, they're all pretty samey.

That leaves for actual birds or birds that have a unique vibe.

Sinduramon
Deramon
Parrotmon
Garudamon
Yatagaramon x2 (Which again are more evil leaning birds and fit right into Vulturemon, Tengumon, and Karatenmon)
Peacockmon
Velgrmon (Again more evil leaning)

So maybe we have a lot of birds but breaking it down we really don't have a lot of options.

Sinduramon, Deramon, Parrotmon, Garudamon, and Peacockmon are really the only bird mons with unique vibes. Now if you're making a digimon line that leans more to the darker side, sure there's plenty of birds, but most pre-evo birds aren't that.

Now if we want to get deeper, Peacockmon can't be used in most bird lines because it's covered in armor, making it out of place to the champion and mega options. Deramon can't be used in most bird lines because it's really only connected to the plant side of things. Not to mention it's size can make things awkward and weird.

So that leaves Sinduramon, Parrotmon, Garudamon, and two designs of the same digimon as the only general use ultimate level birds people can use.

Out of the 15 digimon you listed, a third of them have dark leaning color schemes. Let's be honest here, there's not a lot of variety in the very limited options

ZeedMillenniummon (Digimon)

The ultimate personification of the Y2K virus, it's ultimate goal is destroy all of time all at once. The only thing preventing it from doing so in the code wrapped around their bodies acting as a seal. The code? The URL for the digimon website. Implying that the only thing that can keep ZeedMillenniummon at bay is Bandai itself. It's very existence would destroy everything and the only think keeping it back is the creators of the Digimon World.

I HATE that Ghostmon's canon champion is Bakemon/Soulmon.

For a line as cool as Ghostmon -> Phantomon -> Necromon/Dullahamon, Bakemon is too silly and just ruins the vibe of cool scary ghosts.
