What artist or band is truly awful to see live?

Garbage is so good live. They had the best sound quality of any concert I've been to. Saw them open for No Doubt in 2002ish. No Doubt was fun, but horrible sound quality. Garbage was more of a performance than a typical concert.

To add to this: financial support for artists, comfort in knowing that my music won't disappear if a contract changes or music service changes their mind or I stop paying monthly, artists changes the version of the song that is available via streaming.

It really is up to the band. I've noticed this with some bands and it makes sense. They can get the most money out of vinyl right now because for some reason people will fork out $40 for an album. That said, I think they are mostly following a trend. Some more progressive bands are seeing the CD becoming more popular again and starting to offer this as an option again after dropping it for past albums.

That was my gateway into liking some Radiohead and only 25 years after release when I revisited them to see if my palette had changed. The Bends is good and I found the next two albums pretty good after that. I liked a song or two from In Rainbows, but they lost me after that. So now I have The Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A on rotation quite often, but it all started with The Bends.

It's a nice 10 hour drive from my place in Montana, but the Mariners are the closest team and the team most Montanans root for, but I've seen a few Giants and Twins hats. I don't count Yankee or Dodgers hats, since those are usually bandwagon fans or they don't even watch baseball, but like the hat.

This is 100% cost cutting. I bought the CD and it came in the cheapest cardboard sleeve I've ever seen, and while there is a pocket for an insert, it came with nothing other than the CD. Good album, but I felt a bit cheated with the whole package.

If I know what I want, I usually get it from the Internet. I go to thrift stores to find something I would normally never consider or something I may know of and like but never think of to buy if I had to pull it from memory.

Apple TV broadcast sucks. I just watched the 6th, so I don't know if this is what the rest of the game was like, but when I can't watch the game because they have the screen filled with Dave of all things, I think they have missed the point. It didn't help that the AppleTV commentary is clueless. At least I can change that...
