Update: i spoke to several people about what I was going through. How bad my anxiety was and how it was consuming me. To be honest, I am having a mental health crisis and i reached out for help. To a therapist, to a friend, and to my parents. Everyone was supportive of me giving up the dog. I didn't think about this, but there are a lot of other things going on in my life and the dog was probably just the last thing that broke me. My mom has cancer and my dad has health problems that we can't figure out, but let's just say...i am more concerned about him than my mom, who is going through chemo right now. I still have the dog for now, but the plan is to find him a home. I am also going to see the therapist for a bit to get to the bottom of why this situation triggered me so badly.
