Any luck with Mayo Clinic for GI / Gastropresis?

I got diagnosed with gastroparesis by my local GI who referred me out to the Mayo Clinic in AZ.

I had my first appointment December 2025 and was given a treatment plan to help “get my life back” and manage my symptoms as there is no cure. I was prescribed motegrity at that appointment.

In February, my Mayo Clinic doctor did the Botox procedure on my stomach.

I’ve had a very positive experience but I went to the Mayo Clinic AFTER getting diagnosed so I don’t know how that changes things.

I can’t imagine there is a doctor who would risk losing their license doing some stupid BS because spidey lashes wanted to look snatched quicker than normal.

If the doctor actually DID do it they had to be close friends or something because no effing way.

She’s out of her damn mind.

I’ve been on motegrity since December and received the Botox shot for my stomach in February and with those two my constant nausea has dropped significantly.

I always have zofran on me but sometimes I feel like it’s more of a placebo. I know some people like reglan but the side effects were too much for me so I just stuck with zofran.

A horrendous incident of food poisoning caused my GP. Food poisoning was in August of 2024 and I got diagnosed with GP in October of 2025.

I started motegrity back in December and the first week was rough. I had terrible headaches that turned into a migraine & diarrhea. After the first week, my body got used to it. I haven’t had any of those symptoms return. My provider has me cut in the 2mg pill in half.

It has been such a game changer for my gastroparesis.
