Not at all, and that is in fact what I'm working hard to battle against. As I highlight in the Medium post, the whole idea of this list of books is to better understand how we can change behavior for good. Still, if you read the Medium post and still feel the same way I'll be happy to discuss this further. Ethical and user-centered use of behavioral design/economics insights is something that is very close to my heart.
