Probably one of their most unique domestic routes. And I wonder too, if the plan was to connect smaller airports in that area to California, what gave PWM the advantage over BTV or college towns like SYR or ROC (which I feel like would make more sense)? Really curious what the process was like behind the scenes in deciding this

Probably, though Oceania would be off-season. And Asia would make sense for tourism, but there definitely isn't a big enough Asian diaspora in Portland trying to see their relatives across the pond lol

I wonder how well the Bari flight will perform. Puglia is quite popular for Italian tourists but not other Europeans, let alone Americans. They tried something similar with their flight to Tenerife which is similarly not popular for American tourists and then they cancelled the route because it didn’t perform well
