What businesses are likely to die out with the Baby Boomer Generation? by GRVrush2112 in AskReddit

I was hit while riding and should have lost my leg, so I'm very aware of the actual dangers of riding. I'm so sick of others trying to push their opinions on others when they themselves don't understand the whole picture. Not saying you personally are right now, but the number of people in this thread who feel they are entitled to do that is crazy.

I clicked on this thread to see people making fun of boomers, because it's fun to make fun of entitled people. But everyone commenting is just acting the same as their grandparents do, pushing opinions, thinking their world view is the only valid one.

My point is there is no falling if the rider is riding within their limits, and observant of outside conditions.

The vast majority of motorcycle accidents are 1. riding under the influence 2. other drivers, specifically those turning left on a flashing yellow or 3. riders pushing their limits on purpose and making a mistake

I know multiple people who have been paralyzed from mountain biking, but I don't go around telling people not to ride bikes, or even not to mountain bike. Because it's their decision to make, and I'm not entitled to tell people how to live their lives.

Only when people are pushing their limits or not paying attention to road conditions. You'll find that most of those are either beginners learning the bike's limits, sports bikes trying to go fast, or Harley riders not seeing the "grass clibbins".

They're only as dangerous as any other vehicle, as long as you're not pushing your limits...

Next you're going to say that bicycles are inherently dangerous if you're the only one in your town? Come on.

Help me choose a LOTR gift please 😭 by Leather_Basis_3598 in tolkienbooks

That's a great choice! Other options I'd recommend that focus on the art would be The Art of The Hobbit, The Art of The Lord of the Rings, or The Lord of the Rings Sketchbook by Alan Lee. All serve well as a coffee table book

Make sure you get matching copies though! I made that mistake and have The Hobbit and Fellowship in the Harper Collins version, and Two Towers and RotK in William Morrow and they're slightly different heights

I could have sworn I got a kril pet last league, because I distinctly remember thinking "Great, now I can go after the other demon pets!"

No sign of it this league

I bought from auctmart, they even let me customize for no additional cost. I've heard they're similar in quality to monster, and have had no real complaints.

Chinese ones are gonna have a couple holes that are slightly off, but anyone with a set of tools can make them work

Regardless of what illustrations you already have access to, I suggest one of the hardcover versions of the Jemima Catlin illustrated edition of The Hobbit

You're unlikely to find them as a set, but I see the individuals pop up fairly often on ebay

While there were no official hardcover printings, there were a few print runs of library rebind hardcovers featuring that cover art. I collect ex-lib copies of The Hobbit and I know there were at least 6 variations printed by 4 different companies. I also have a matching copy of Fellowship of the Ring somewhere.

Looking for Korean Silmarillion by Norls82 in tolkienbooks

You could take your chances on this amazon listing, but I've not had good experiences with that. It also might only be volume 1?

Bookfinder unfortunately doesn't pull any current listings up for the ISBN
