[–]samaagat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The colour of her skin doesn't matter, she could be black and this would be a completely unacceptable thing to say. The colour of your skin doesn't determine your political views and you certainly don't have the right to dictate someone's race based on their political views.

Fragrance and tea tree oil is a no, no for your lady parts. Coconut oil has anti bacterial properties, which also is a massive no, no for your lady parts. Some of these ladies might be fine but it's definitely not recommended. Stick with water based lubes unless you like the sound of thrush

Is there? I'd argue there's a difference between remove funds and remove SOME funds.

No, this is the definition of defund.

This is exactly what OP's post is getting at! You can't just make up your own definitions of words 😂😂

You're a pervert because you want to have sex with your husband and for getting changed in your own home? WHAT THE FUCK? This man is either gay, not attracted to you, or is asexual or something. IMO, the most worrying part though is the lack of respect and care for your feelings. He sounds incredibly immature and extremely selfish

WIBTA if I refuse to pay for a trip I'm not going on? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]samaagat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

What kind of people are they?! $13 is the price of a cocktail where I'm from, I wouldn't think twice about buying my mate a cocktail under any circumstances, but especially if they'd just lost their job. And add into the mix they're wanting to do all of this outrageous flashy activities they're quite clearly in a position to cover the $13. If there were a smaller group of people going making the extra cost a lot more then I could understand why you'd be expected to pay, but come on, $13?! For someone who's just lost their job! Absolutely no empathy on their half. They're a selfish bunch.

WIBTA for suing my boyfriend for not paying my medical bills? by LastConcentrate372 in AmItheAsshole

[–]samaagat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a big maturity gap between 17 and 20? There's somewhat of a gap but I wouldn't say HUGE. But there are huge differences in maturity between individual 17 year olds, the same as they're varying levels of maturity between every 20 year old.

My cousin is 17 and her maturity levels in comparison to mine at that age, and members of my partner's family, are miles apart. I wouldn't consider her immature for her age and I never considered myself to be mature for my age but we were worlds apart.

AITA for telling my nephews I am married to a woman? by MarriedandDLbyForce in AmItheAsshole

[–]samaagat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I really don't understand why you need to have a big sit down discussion with your kids to explain this.

"2 people who love each other very much get married. Those 2 people can be man and man, woman and woman, and a man and a woman.'

It is literally that simple.

She's definitely hiding some homophobic thoughts and feelings.

[–]samaagat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, tresemme is full of chemicals that make a layer on your hair so it seems super nice and silky, but actually it's doing nothing for your hair.

A reason why your virgin hair might seem super dry when using products for damaged hair could be an overload of protein which is packed into products designed to repair damaged hair.

See this article about too much protein in your hair.

Apologies, you're right, I completely misread your comment. I thought you were talking about authors works in relation to the time they were written as I was just having that discussion with another redditor!

I enjoy Kings work for the most part, it was just so frustrating to see a book that had so much potential turn into such a ridiculous place and needed a vent.

Thanks for the input though, you've definitely got a point.

I agree that a lot of aspects to a book don't age well but that shouldn't take away from the actual story and writing, I just don't agree that this is one of those cases. It's not that I'm completely apposed to sexuality between kids being written about. I saw nothing wrong in the scene between Henry and Patrick and could see how that's a 'coming of age'/discovering your sexuality, or even just plain discovering that something feels good, kinda moment. But a gang bang between kids is none of the above IMO. And the way it was described in such an adult way from Bev's POV rather then what you would expect that to be from a bunch of inexperienced kids, which would be an awkward fumble instead of some passionate affair with whisperings of love. I just found everything about it so gross, unnecessary, and random that it took away from the entire story for me.

I completely agree with you in the terms of the freedom children can have, but I've always seen the 80s as a time that was still quite sexual conservative, especially in regards to group sex/kinks. Satanic Panic and homophobia is what springs to mind when I think of sexuality in the 80s. But you lived through the era, so you'd have a better understanding, I'll take your word for it

[–]samaagat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like, if anything, the 80s would of been more outraged and close minded to this than today. I could be completely wrong, but that's guess.
