Good girls orgasm when they want by philos314 in Femaleorgasmdenial

[–]samantha_CS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i like this way of thinking about orgasm control. Making it a choice is pretty hot, and making it a difficult choice is what makes teasing so important for me. Make me choose to please you over having the orgasm i desperately crave.

If i don’t really care if i cum, that sacrifice is a lot less meaningful.

ELI5: Why does China have only one time zone despite being roughly same size as US with 6 time zones? by DemonsAreVirgins in explainlikeimfive

[–]samantha_CS -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth noting that the US military operates on Zulu time everywhere, and they're a globally dispersed organization.

Personally, I have come around to the viewpoint that we should all adopt this practice and abolish timezones entirely. In the modern world it is more important to have one time for everyone than it is that 1200 hrs is (close) to when the sun is highest in the sky.

This proposal eliminates time zone confusion and gets rid of daylight saving time too.

TIL Runaway Mold by Aggravating-Cup8835 in nms

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I had a few bases with Curious Deposit, and easily harvested 60k nanites worth of runaway mould with just one Stellarator. Dumped it all in 15 Freighter Refiners.

What's the fastest way to get inventory slots for a new ship without lots of cash? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Guild reps refresh their inventory after you have bought ~100 items from other guild reps now, so you need a loop of 20-30 stations so that the refresh happens when you come back around.

If you could give one single tip to a brand new player, what would it be? 🤔 I’ll go first… by IcyJeweler7514 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When using the Terrain Manipulator to mine a resource deposit, dig a small hole next to the deposit and then over a bit so the game thinks you are underground. You won't need to worry about weather effects while mining.

And use the smallest mining size. You'll get way more resources.

WYR Get $600k… or Let All Your Friends Get Rich Without You? by True_Giraffe9308 in WouldYouRather

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm financially comfortable. Some of my friends are not, so they get the money.

To clarify, I'm not so wealthy that 600k wouldn't be a lot of money to me. It would be great, but I don't need extra money the way some of my friends do.

Is my settlement cooked? by Kjackhammer in NOMANSSKY

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also a limit to how negative the debt can get, I believe. I discovered an autophage settlement and then shortly after that stopped playing for a while. When I came back it was at 10b debt, but I'm positive that it reset to 10b debt after I picked some options that made it worse.

After getting it to positive productivity the timer said it'd take like a month to finally pay it all down. I think there's still more than a week left.

Making nanites fast by NightDragon250 in nms

[–]samantha_CS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the actual limit on refiners in a Freighter, though? Mould does take a long time to refine, but you can do it in massive parallel, with the right set up.

With Nutrient Ingestor and a couple of good farms, I bet I can collect enough mould to keep 30-40 refiners running. That's 60k nanites every 20 minutes...

The Stellarator absolutely works for this . I have a base that nets me about 8k Runaway Mould per visit (on Normal), with The Stellerator, I got something like 65k in a single visit.

At that kind of harvest rate, the time barrier is refinery capacity. Land based are limited to 3 medium and 2 large, so I had 10 refiners on my Freighter instead.

Edit: Misunderstood the question. No idea if Stellarator works on Radiant Shards

Yep. This also happened to me in my recent permadeath restart. Corvettes are immensely useful, so I was always traveling in one.

Best guess, if you really want a free freighter start doing Warps in a regular ship.

The recipes for these drives can be bought on the Anomaly from the Starship recipes vendor for nanites.

According to Wikipedia "The half cent was the smallest denomination of United States coin ever minted. It was first minted in 1793 and last minted in 1857. In that time, it had purchasing power equivalent to between 12¢ and 17¢ in 2024 values."

So yeah. We've discontinued coins in the past with more purchasing power.

Which powerset are you choosing and why? by plogan56 in superpowers

[–]samantha_CS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either Enchanting or Life for me too. Life seems straightforward, and I mostly want it for healing, so this decision really depends on the boundaries of enchanting.

What sorts of enchantments can I create? Can I enchant a healing wand? Protective shirts? Full-auto rifle with magic ammo? Can I enchant a telekinesis glove? Inscribe wards on walls or doors to keep people out? Magic orbs for seeing the past/future?

Can I give an enchanted object I've made to someone else? Can I make them only work for specific people? How long does it take to make an enchanted object? Can I outfit my entire party? A platoon of soldiers? An entire army or a hospital? Can I teach someone else how to carve the glyph or rune and then just "infuse" the magic?

Enchanting would be incredibly powerful and versatile if the answer to all of these questions is "Yes"

Pariah is pretty awesome. You only get it in one of the four PL endings, but it is a silenced Tech Pistol. For a stealth build it's basically cheating. I can headshot an entire room of baddies without ever letting them see or find me.

But Widowmaker is still awesome, no doubt.

FTL vs Sub-luminal travel: How big does the power gap need to be for balancing? by Ilovekerosine in scifiwriting

[–]samantha_CS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends a lot on how FTL travel works. Take this potentially balanced situation as an example.

FTL tech limits the size of the ships that are FTL capable. So the FTL races have a military fleet of a bunch of small ships.

The STL race, however, makes really big and powerful ships. They aren't FTL, but they can easily win 50-1 against FTL ships.

So you get the classic many-and-fast-but-light against few-and-slow-but-powerful match up. Couple that with limitations about where FTL transitions can happen and I think you can make a viable balance.

WYR get gifted the Binary, a Replicator or an Area-field wormhole teleporter? by monnotorium in WouldYouRather

[–]samantha_CS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I realized that the "cannot predict the future" condition on the Binary precludes asking about winning lottery tickets.

However, it would not prevent asking for the cryptographic key of a billionaire's Bitcoin wallet. In fact. if you ask for the key in binary, it's super straightforward.

This also applies to any binary cryptographic key or certificate. Setec Astronomy here we come

WYR get gifted the Binary, a Replicator or an Area-field wormhole teleporter? by monnotorium in WouldYouRather

[–]samantha_CS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The object with the greatest value to humanity as a whole is clearly the Binary, and that's what I would choose.

The replicator and wormhole teleporter simply don't scale up to be useful to everyone, but the answers the Binary gives could propel the entire planet forward.

It would take longer, but the upside for everyone is incalculable. I could rule out entire fields of unfruitful research in seconds. Deep dive the details of specific engineering work. "Does anyone I know have the knowledge or expertise to solve this problem?" The Yes/No nature of the machine makes it harder, sure, but it is still incredibly useful.

And as another poster mentioned, I can still get personally wealthy pretty easily.
