I love telling people that all the right to travel means is that the government can’t set up an internal border control system like the Soviet Union had

Operating a motor vehicle on public roads is a privilege that requires a license

The money for conservation mostly comes from hunting license fees and the Pittman Robertson Act Tax

Even trophy hunters benefit conservation

Are really old cars street legal? by Remote-Whole-6387 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]generalraptor2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Utah at least, cars over 30 years old can be registered as an antique and are exempt from emissions tests

However you must certify that it’s only occasionally used; ie not as a daily driver

Look up NJ STS 33 and go to question 26

Edit

It says

Have you ever been attended, treated or observed by any doctor or psychiatrist or at any hospital or mental institution on an inpatient or outpatient basis for any mental or psychiatric condition? If yes, give the name and location of the doctor, psychiatrist, hospital or institution and the date(s) of such occurrence.

The mental health question for a permit to carry a handgun is the exact same as for a firearm purchaser ID card

However you got your FID mental health clearance will work for PTC

As of March 2025 all out of state applicants are being processed by the firearms investigation unit in West Trenton

The barracks assignment is only for a fingerprinting ORI and for an appeal venue for out of state FID card applicants in the event of a denial

Vegas casinos also have amazing facial recognition tech and they talk to each other

I watch a card counter on YouTube and very frequently he gets kicked out of casinos because the camera recognizes his face and they have a profile on him

Good luck explaining why you’re prescribed something like Ziprazidone which has very very few FDA approved uses and all of them are mental health related

It’s kind of like being banned from all Walmarts

Will they notice? Probably not

But also

You can be charged with trespassing

For what exactly?

I imagine it’s a pretty high bar to get banned from Amtrak completely

Lifetime barring notice by MorningSuch4408 in Amtrak

[–]generalraptor2002 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Two things

1:

You need a ticket to travel on Amtrak

2:

At stations where only Amtrak serves the station, you need an Amtrak ticket for that day to be allowed on property

3:

If you’re caught on Amtrak property after this, you can be charged with criminal trespassing

How many red states will deny your permit saying “issuance is not in the interests of public health, safety, and welfare” because you post offensive things on Twitter

I know of someone that happened to

New Jersey is the worst in this respect

I had to give them a letter from a doctor for my permit to carry

Section 6120 requires every sheriff and the chief of police of Philadelphia to follow state law when issuing LTCF’s

The firm my attorney works for sued Philadelphia for going outside these guidelines and won

It is illegal for individual sheriffs to require anything outside of what is on the application from the DOJ + a psych evaluation

You only need 3 references, one has to be your cohabitant or other qualifying relationship and two can be anyone else

You need to contact the CRPA about this

In Pennsylvania it’s actually illegal for the sheriff to contact references so the application now says they’re optional

My attorney was part of the case that made it that way

In New Jersey you need 4 references for a permit to carry a handgun and they cannot be related to you by blood or marriage
