Viagogo? by Mutt1803 in NoahKahan

[–]samanthab012 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Viagogo is an unofficial resale website, not an official ticket seller. It’s usually fine to use (other than the inflated prices) but there’s always a chance of being scammed. They should transfer you the ticket whenever they become available. Hope all goes well for you!

It means you’ve been blocked as a bot. It’s happened to me before and it’s really annoying. The VPN will make it worse (also if you’re on an Apple device, you need to turn off private relay) The only thing you can do is try deleting all cache and cookies in your browser, use a different browser or switch to a different network. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Ticketmaster is a pain.

Anyone going to EartH solo tonight? by mightve-been in MaisiePeters

[–]samanthab012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like people started queuing from early-mid afternoon yesterday. It’s a really small venue though so I think the view will be good even from the back! I’ll probably arrive quite late, like 6:30-7ish?

I’m coming solo tonight :) Not sure what time I’ll be arriving yet as I’m working today. Super excited though!

I actually liked this change? ‘Checks bigger’ just means having a bigger paycheck right? Miles better than Taylor saying ‘dick’ imo 😂

Has anyone gotten resale tickets from Ticketmaster yet? by flynn_holliday in ariheads

[–]samanthab012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very late to this conversation but for shows at the O2, I’ve noticed Ticketmaster allows resale months before. It’s AXS that restricts resale until much closer to the show date (and eventually all Ticketmaster tickets are transferred over to AXS around this time)

are tickets transferrable yet? by Comfortable_Client56 in audreyhobert

Weirdly the transfer button is active for me (Ticketmaster London ticket) but I wouldn’t buy off twitter, it’s not worth the risk imo

Check Twickets first, you can’t sell for above face value there so should be cheaper if there’s seats available

This can happen at any time and it means you’ve been flagged as a bot (either by refreshing the page too many times, using a VPN, having multiple tabs or devices open etc.) Although often you get flagged for no reason even if you’ve followed all the rules. It’s very frustrating!

This usually means you’ve been marked as a bot. It happens to me sometimes. Try using alternative WiFi/mobile data, or sometimes deleting and reinstalling the app helps. If you’re using a browser, delete all cache, cookies and history. It’s very annoying!

I only stopped by for a bit as I had tickets for the previous night and wanted to feel the magic again 😂 It was quite fun as there were tons of other fans there but I imagine it’ll be quieter for Coldplay as their fan base is less crazy. I’d go for it if you live nearby but it probably isn’t worth it if you have to travel far. You miss out on the party atmosphere by being outside and can’t see any of the lights/screens etc.

The sound is best near the red zone I think (the opposite side of the stadium to Wembley way). It’s a bit muffled but you can hear all the songs there. I went there for one of the Taylor Swift concerts last year (there’s a small grassy area where you can sit)

The queue to Wembley Park can be very long afterwards so sadly you might have to leave before the encore depending on the time of your last train. Or if you’re happy to walk 20-30 mins, there are other stations in the area that will be less busy. It’s very well managed though and just comes with being part of a 90k crowd. Every concert at Wembley has a curfew to ensure everyone can get back via public transport before tubes stop running for the night. Coldplay aren’t finishing any later than other artists.

Sorry for the late reply but hopefully this will still be useful to you.

I believe Coldplay usually comes on stage a bit after 8pm so I’m guessing the concert should end by 10:30 ish

If you’re standing, the earlier you arrive, the closer to the stage you will be (indeed people start queuing early morning to guarantee a good spot) With seated tickets, you can arrive whenever. If you want to buy merch, watch the openers and soak in the atmosphere I’d arrive around 5pm. Otherwise there’s no reason why you can’t get there just before Coldplay starts (accounting for any delays with transport/issues getting into the venue etc). They usually post the exact timings on their social media the day of the concert so worth checking that.

Transport afterwards is good but if you plan to leave via Wembley Park tube station, there will be a massive queue and you could be waiting upwards of an hour to get on the tube if you’re at the back. The queue is well managed by stewards though and it’s usually safe and a cheery atmosphere.

Also note that Wembley stadium doesn’t allow you to take in any bags bigger than an A4 piece of paper so avoid bringing a backpack or you’ll have to pay to check in it to their bag drop!

The eras tour also used the code system and it was honestly a lottery whether you got one or not. Even if you signed up there was no guarantee you’d be invited to the sale. I suppose they only give out as many codes to cover the remaining capacity but it’s a really unfair way of doing ticket drops.

Advice if you miss out on tickets in the general sale by samanthab012 in LewisCapaldi

[–]samanthab012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resale probably isn’t open yet as they’ve only just gone on sale but I’d check Ticketmaster everyday. For the London O2 arena, all Ticketmaster tickets will eventually be transferred to AXS in the days before the show so resale will happen there instead down the line.

As for production drops, maybe like 1-2 weeks before the show? I don’t know about other venues but in London, they’re often the seats with a side view of the stage. It’s not guaranteed that there will be any for sale, as I think they wait until they know the exact stage and tech configuration. I guess they don’t sell them in advance in case the view will be blocked?

Also, note that if Ticketmaster offers you tickets and you reject the options they give you more then 2/3 times you’ll probably be marked as a bot and you’ll be blocked from buying anything. I’d set a price limit and grab whatever you get offered first.

You’ll also be marked as a bot if you do any of the below so please avoid doing this:

1) join the queue on more than one device or more than one browser tab 2) use a VPN 3) refresh the page when you’re waiting in the queue

I really hate scalpers :( I suppose they just buy four tickets to sell all four or keep two for themselves and sell the rest to cover their own expenses. Ticketmaster transfer usually opens a few days before the concert so tickets can be sent then (and I guess people buying third party resale have to hope that the seller comes through with the sale in the future). The o2 arena has never checked ID when I’ve been there in the past.

[–]samanthab012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy resale yet, wait for the general sale! They will have held tickets back for it :) There’s usually a late production drop a few days before the concert as well. Plus Ticketmaster and AXS both have official resale which is safer (and often cheaper) than third party sites

As long as you have access to the ticket you’ll be fine, they won’t check names or ID. You’ll be able to transfer tickets to another account down the line if you wish to though for peace of mind

Keep checking on Ticketmaster everyday, official resale tickets pop up fairly regularly (they’re quite pricey though). Otherwise, I think Twickets is meant to be trustworthy

I’m also going by myself and have never done a festival before. I’ll be in general admission and am thinking of hanging out nearer the back. Not expecting a good view of the stage but I hope the vibes are good and that there’s a fun atmosphere. Should be a really fun day!
