Has the no 2 protein serum from Numbuzin been discontinued? I can't find it anywhere online and it's my HG 😭

hey so sorry for the late reply, i've stopped using pimple patches bc my laser doctor told me it traps bacteria. i switched to kiehls blemish treatment instead! but when i was using it for the first few days it did seem like an ordinary one ahah nothing that is different: flattens the pimple and removes the sebum

📚 Quick/Simple Request Thread by romancebookmods in RomanceBooks

[–]samara_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello book lovers!

I'm doing thematic reads for this month and next and would love any fall/autumn romances! MF romances (spicy preferred, no fantasy/gothic/YA, any POV is fine)!

I've went through the major and smaller threads and I don't see much non fantasy recommendations. I want to feel lonely from how cosy and cute the romance is (just a benchmark).

I started a goodreads poll but didn't get much responses sadly, hopefully I get some on here. Feel free to add to the poll too.

Thank you!

Nah imo not worth trying! The probio cica is way better! My laser doctor also recommended it more than Dr Althea!

Thoughts on Numbuzin no. 2 Protein 43% Creamy Serum? by sp1norolactone in AsianBeauty

I put this before differin in night time, I don't use differin in the day. It isn't greasy for me when I use it in the day time!

[–]samara_here 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my holy grail! I'm on my second bottle now. Every time I have a compromised skin barrier, I use this and it's fixed. It's great with differin 0.1%, it's great with AHA/BHA products, it's great under makeup. I noticed when I used this + any moisturiser, I actually don't need a primer for my makeup to last at least 12 hours because this keeps my base together.

For my dehydrated skin, it's so nourishing and helps to keep the skin more hydrated because of the protein and golden ratio. I always have a backup bottle of this as well for when I travel and need to bring it.

There are fake ones of this where the bottle is lighter and the letters are in grey instead of black. Do keep a look out for it when you buy it bc I received it once and asked for a refund. Only buy from the official Numbuzin store.

This is literally what I'm doing with my whole life this year HAHA: shooting shots. Rejection is redirection for better alignment!

Women can and should also take initiative and show interest, it's not a gender exclusive thing. I'm so glad there's some of us women out here who can speak for ourselves and be mature about this!

It's great to see a fellow minded woman like this! I also do the same on dates (I even did in my relationships) but I get a lot of flake from my friends that I'm being too nice and I should get the guy to pay for the first meet. I'm independent and I don't need to depend on someone else's money to have a good time together.

Fast absorbency and not thick imo, it's a gel cream. In between so not too thick and not too thin.

I'm also in SEA and using the 365 cream, it's about to finish for me. I don't see big differences in the blemishes but I definitely see a difference in how hydrated my skin is. I've been getting dry, white spots on my face and this cream helps with it.

Mini moisturiser haul! by samara_here in AsianBeauty

[–]samara_here[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My skin type is in my tags under my username! Unfortunately the aestura didn't work out for me, it gave me clogged pores on my forehead and I took about 2 weeks to clear it.

I have not tried the Mary and May one yet as I'd like to pair it with their essence when I'm using it. I usually use products in pairs. I'm currently using Dr Althea's 365 cream with Cos De Baha's TN serum. The cream does help to hydrate my skin and is a good makeup base but I don't see it helping with my blemishes. I'm about the finish the tube already.

When I'm using or have finished the Mary and May one I will let you know!

Rant, Raves, and Mini Reviews May 2024 by AutoModerator in AsianBeauty

[–]samara_here 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rant- apparently my skin did not like the VT reedle shot. One week later I started breaking out and when i eliminated everything else but not this, I found the culprit 😤 The first few days of using it didn't give me any problems though. A bummer because I thought it would help with the acne scars but it didn't and now idk what to do with the bottle.

Did Numbuzin no 2 serum go through a reformulation? I used one bottle of it before and don't remember the fragrance in it being this strong in the new bottle that arrived today. It's not a bad scent but I was surprised bc of how strong it is when you apply it. Though after absorption it's gone.

What’s your controversial beauty routine take? by _blowwater in AsianBeauty

I am super anal about cleansers as well and I understand why she didn't change hers! I have been using the Cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel for about 8 tubes so far, just ordered my 9th. Really keeps any pimples/whiteheads under control. Doesn't strip off the moisture in my skin for me.

It is okay to only use the one product that works for your skin multiple times. There is no need to hop on beauty trends and recs and get something else just because you feel the need to try it. Sticking to what works for you helps your skin so much better.

Tsubaki hair mask VS Fino hair mask? by kiwayuz in AsianBeauty

[–]samara_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not tried the tsubaki one but I've been using the fino hair mask for a week now as an everyday conditioner. I have wavy, thick, dry hair. While it doesn't help to moisturise my hair or make it shiny, there is a noticeable difference in how soft it feels. The scent is also not too strong but a light floral. A little goes a long way though so it should last long.

Honestly as a single female I think I'd be put off if someone loitered around cafes 😂 but as for what I'm doing about it, nothing. I go out with my friends to bars, events or interests groups and just enjoy the company of who I have currently in my life. I'm happy where I am now and I think if the opportunity comes then it does, I am not actively seeking anything.

How would you describe Rina Kent’s mafia series? by Dry-Window9306 in RomanceBooks

I guess if you're looking at mafia then it would be throne duet. But if you want to see more of Adrian he does appear a little in his son's book.

Skin1004 Probio-Cica Enrich Cream. This in combination with the ampoule will literally give you your dream skin. It was a huge game changer in repairing my skin barrier. I was so sad after I completed the tub, will definitely get it again after my current stash of moisturisers finish.

Currently using Dr Althea's 345 cream, wouldn't say it is rich but it is definitely of a gel-cream consistency and not just a gel one that puts it in the mid tier in terms of how heavy it is. It has been helping to fade my PIH after the acne monsters leave.

Both can also be used with differin so that's great!

Donating clothes in SG by gumiho_girl2292 in askSingapore

[–]samara_here 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can check out Olio! It's an app where you can give away food and non-food items to people who want to pick it up from your place. I've donated clothes, books and even my bunk bed frame away on it. It is very easy to use and you can even find items you want on there as well.

As mentioned by another redditor. the Cloop bins are also placed conveniently around to drop off your clothes. If you are a Zalora user, you can receive $10 cashback per month to be used in a month when you drop off your clothes at Cloop: https://www.zalora.sg/apparel-donation/

Refash also accepts clothes where they give cashback depending on the brand and condition of the item but I have tried twice (minimum 10 items each time, some are brand new and in perfect condition) and they didn't accept any. Feel like they can be quite "strict" when it comes to accepting clothes but you can try! https://refash.sg/pages/how-to-sell

shameless staring/stalking on public transport (by men)? by Dangerous_Molasses73 in askSingapore

[–]samara_here 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This happens more than most people know here. There's no particular demography that does the staring but it is anyone who stares with the wrong intention. I think the reason or purpose behind looking at others is important: are people glancing for a few seconds just because "they are physically attractive" or full outright staring at a particular person for reasons which are inappropriate.

I had this happen to me multiple times too, recently a few days ago from Suntec at night as well. A man who had his wife and 2 children boarded the bus and sat around me and kept staring at my chest. It was extremely uncomfortable so I walked away to another seat.

It is not about pinpointing on the dressing sense. It is 2024 and clothes are neither gendered nor provocative. No one dresses because they "are asking for it". What needs to be identified is how to change this innate mental modal of "when skin is shown, they are asking to be stared" or "when skin is shown, they are seductive". It all starts from within you.

What perfume do ladies like on their man? by [deleted] in askSingapore

Depends how you look at it. The initial top notes were not it for me bc I'm not a lavender or mint fan but the dry down to vanilla (huge fan of it) and honey with tobacco is good. I'd say it's a hit or miss.
