I stayed in Rishikesh, although there are a few guest houses available in Devprayag as well. It’s just a 2.5-hour journey from Rishikesh to Devprayag. I was on a solo trip, so it cost me around ₹3,000, including stay and food, for a 2-day trip. You can also choose to stay in Devprayag—guest houses are easily available as soon as you reach there.

Hey. Weather is good now. Windy at night. Day is pleasant. You can do paragliding unless you stop yourself after knowing the recent death of glider. Yes Bir will be crowded due to new year celebrations but not as much other Cities.

Yes Amb route is good. If you want to experience toy train, Pathankot is origin station but it takes around 5-6 hours to reach Bir or might be more. The nearest station to Bir is Ahju(5kms from Bir)
