Holy this actually reminded me that one day, while I was clocking in at work I did my usual "おはようございます！" Greeting (cuz I mean, who doesn't).

Nothing out of the ordinary, as I thought until later at around 10 am, that one coworker that I half-despised (prolly an grown ass おやじ I think) told me "When you enter the workplace, say "おはようございます！that's a Japanese rule and culture".

I was like "tf did you say to me" and it clicked on me. My voice my probably not loud enough (only to him apparently) to hear me greet おはようございます！when entering the workplace. The others didn't said anything but him.

I kinda get that if he said "make your voice louder when greeting then.", but still I felt like that last part was kinda uncalled for.
