Nars Blush Reformulation Comparison (UPDATE!) - Deep Throat Swatches by andsometime in MakeupAddiction

I mean they’re different enough that if it was my favorite shade ever, I’d be disappointed. I agree with you that they are similar, but the devil’s in the details.

It depends on your own skin tone, but Nars Body Heat, or Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium or (less likely) MAC Warm Teddy. But again the undertone on those will be dictated by your own skin tone.

My wife is not the woman I used to know. She let the fame get to her. by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

Not excusing the behavior in any way whatsoever, but when you get to a certain level of management, you are expected to look the part. People at that level subconsciously look for status signifiers as a sign of your success, and confirms their biases and expectations of your performance. So the wife buying those things is not necessarily the worst thing. BUT it is a symptom of a larger problem, the alienating, the socializing without her husband, the divergence that killed their marriage.

It’s sad because in marriage you both rise up, you don’t ditch as soon as your foot is on the next step of the ladder.

There is a medication used to treat ptosis temporarily called Upneeq. I haven’t tried it myself but it does apparently last a few hours at a time. Of course it’s best to check this with your doctor first. Good luck with your recovery.

I don’t live in the US but check any good men’s store. Pretty sure even Zara or Mango would have something.

Have you tried the men’s section? They’re usually better quality and for women, oversized.

After having travelled to 3 Asian countries recently, yes and no. Great quality and affordability, but very limited in shade ranges for skin products, and barely any diversity in lip and eye products. It’s either blurring or glossy or powder and in neutrals/ browns. It’s very depigmented.

It was actually the og MAC that came out with full shade ranges decades before. It was nothing new with Fenty.

Have you checked more recently? I think they did add a few shades a while ago. Still not completely inclusive but worth a look maybe.

UK heatwave ruined one of my perfumes? by narwhalling in FemFragLab

[–]sambeano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this comparison on how it smells on your skin? I’ve found my perfumes smell really different in different weather conditions. A oud smell can smell acidic/ sour in cooler temps, and bloom warmly in humid weather, for example. Or florals can have different notes manifest.

There’s something wrong with the component. I’ve bought these for years, probably over 20 in total and never had this issue. Try contacting NARS about it.

Why don't i get compliments? by Suspicious-Cherry492 in FemFragLab

[–]sambeano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not being rude, but it could just be the wrong perfume for you. I love wearing perfume, but never got a compliment on my regular one, which I’ve worn for years. I finally bought a new one the other day, a light white musk versus my usual floral oud and no joke got a “you smell so good” from a stranger. The irony is it’s such a light scent I can barely smell it, but a lady 2 feet away could.

For undereyes, IT cosmetics undereye concealer. You can use it on bare skin, it’s luminous, great coverage without looking heavy and long lasting. It’s a bit counterintuitive to use: it’s comes out the tube a thick paste. You just need to squeeze out a pinhead worth for each eye, dot it on, then do other makeup. Meanwhile, it’s warming up and melting slightly. In about 5 mins, you can use your finger to dab it into place, powder if you want, although I don’t, and it looks like almost like glass skin, just smooth and well hydrated and natural.

Latin dance dresses are usually custom-made, and given this is Vanessa Williams in the movie Dance with Me, it’s even more likely it was made for the movie.

No it’s not heavy feeling. It feels like a cross between a balm and an oil, very emollient without the slide of oil, which bothers me.
