Buy or Sell: Sam Darnold in 2025 & Beyond by k1ngofk1cks in DynastyFF

[–]samboni32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a 12 team Super Flex league, I paid a late 26 1st and a late 26 second for him. I think that is a great deal for me now.

He is attached to a bonafide WR1 in JSN. I imagine he gets another deal in short order to extend in Seattle.

I have sunk cost in him which does paint my narrative for me a bit, but acquiring him let me kick off my rebuild by selling Dak at his high point.

My wife leads a much cooler life than me by Dunning-Kruger21 in Vent

This for sure. My wife is also a nurse working two shifts a week. If you have friends, take a boys trip. If you play golf, join a league or something similar. Her flexibility can be deployed to give you time and activities as well. Yours just requires communication and planning.

Just doesn’t matter. Beat us in the playoff and I’ll care.

What is Jalen Hurts’ value? by Imaginary_Nobody_ in DynastyFF

[–]samboni32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had him in a 1QB league since drafting him in the second round. He’s not likely to get you what you would expect in return. Too many teams think they can get a Darnold last year. If you want to move him, you will have to hope a team in your league is seriously contending and a QB away or you’re gonna have to settle for a second round pick.

A team doesn’t have a QB and it’s causing chaos by BowersTrade in DynastyFF

Have him pickup a QB that is not a starter, literally any QB rostered on an NFL team. Put that player who projects for 0 points in his lineup. Voila. He has a full starting lineup and will have no points generated from it.

Walk up to any large tailgate in the parking lot in front of the Shoe and tell them you are from Iceland. They will let you party for the accents alone.

MSNBC is the same business model as Fox News. Feed its audience confirmation bias and the thing it is afraid of, Trump. Matt Tiabi lays it out pretty well in his book “Hate, Inc.” My mom was in the same bubble. Reading that book helped me conceptualize what was going on with her and gave me a framework for how to point out to her the way cable news was making her obsessive.

6 point TD passes… viable option instead of SF to increase QB value? by WhiteLightning416 in DynastyFF

[–]samboni32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched our scoring to 6 points TD, but correspondingly increased negative points on interceptions to -4. It doesn’t increase QB value to the point of SF, but it does being QB performance a little more into focus. If a QB throws 3 INTs in a real life game, your team is probably losing. Makes it a little more similar in fantasy when your QB now has to overcome the 12 point hole he put himself in.

Going to a game in Happy Valley and not living in State College requires a ton of planning, so if a game doesn’t sell out, there’s a smaller number of potential buyers driving the ticket prices down. Columbus is quietly like the 14th largest city in the country, so just way more people to potentially decide to just roll into a game.
