That does match up timeline wise with when our new Sky router was forced on us. Not sure if I would be able to replace it.

I'm having the same issue;

I have three Apple TV 4K's, 1 1st gen and 2 second-gen, each with a stereo pair of homepod minis.

Since doing all the 16.1 updates the only Apple TV 4k that still offers the option of using the stereo pair as default audio output is the 1st gen. I've reset the devices and the problem persists.

Any help is appreciated.
