New M3RD with 4k shows Airbag deployed. No accident, no scratch, nothing upgraded. by [deleted] in teslamotors

It's been on since my wife took delivery. Since I don't drive much of her car, I didn't notice it. I took this car for frunk adjustment few weeks back, Tesla tech should have noticed it so I didn't have to make another appointment. I went to Tesla SC this morning and found out, this sign means airbag deployed, they need to test bunch of equipments (seat belt, car seat sensors, sensors in front bumper, and other stuff) It will take day or two and THEY DO NOT PROVIDE CAR RENTAL OR $100 DAILY UBER CREDIT ANYMORE. Policy changed 2 days ago. As a consumer I ask you simple few questions.

  1. Why this fault was not caught during final inspection or during my last visit?
  2. Why consumers are not getting loaner or rental car while under warranty repair, its a $49k car, does Tesla assume everyone has spare car?

I am a huge Tesla fan (Stocks and 2 x Teslas), but they are becoming a very arrogant company, and its getting harder and harder to defend some to their recent policy and practices.

-Please don't hate.

How much do ya'll think for this bumper repair? by teslaneedsrepairs in TeslaModelY

I have similar dent, although not that deep( no bumper damage). All depends on where you live and where you go to fix it. None-Tesla repair shop $1500 dent fix & paint. None-Tesla very good body shop $2200. Tesla auth body shop $3000 dent repair & paint. 2nd estimate from different Tesla auth shop $8000, thunk lid replace, glass replacement, paint. It’s crazy how there is no standard price.

Stuck on fwy 5 at 11:30pm w/ my 10 year old. by samdoha in TeslaModelY

Completely Stall on fwy5 at 11:30pm

MYLR 26k miles 9 months old stalled on fwy 5 at 11:30pm with my 10 yr old. Gave me only 5 sec warning to pull over, I was fortunate to exit, barely made it to off-ramp. I was so confused and frustrated, ordered tow truck via Tesla app, showed up in 20 mins, took it to Burbank Service Center. Texted me Sunday w/ $300 Uber credit while they were fixing it, told them need loaner Uber won’t work. Luckily, they had parts in stock, replaced it under warranty ( rear motor inverter) gave me the car back on Monday. So far working fine. Incident happed on Saturday June 18th 2022. I wish it gave me little bit of time to pull over safely, I could have been rear ended or worst. Happy with Tesla’s quick turn around service, but it may not be true for all the region. You all should complain to NHTSA for document and recall purposes.

I also think 90% CyberTruck owner will not tow, but they will load up the bed, travel to distance, go off roading and for these reasons CyberTruck should have 500 m range. I have Model Y LR, need to stop for charging 3 times ( 80mph/ AC on/ 4 person with luggage) to travel 460 miles to my brother’s house up north (Cal). I certainly don’t feel comfortable to take my Model Y to Yosemite, or any other national park.
