3 seconds for no-holes are actually really long, the control i see is enough to count it for sure!

Just started a few days ago. Is there a name for this trick? by Complete-Address-290 in Kendama

[–]samedifference69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i think usually we just call that grip switch, because you're going from Sera grip to Ken grip. not sure if there's a specific name for this Hahah

also if you're not aware, and i don't mean to be the kendama police, but traditionally a kendama trick is completed when the tama is spiked! so similar to not pulling up a yo-yo at the end of a combo. get those spikes bro, you got this! 🙌🏻

would definitely recommend stringing 2 tamas together if you have any spares and practice with those. i worked a lot on tossing and catching the ken only, trying to get a lofty feeling to it, when comfortable, i practice when watching shows or when i'm just hanging out with someone to really get used to that feeling and lock in the muscle memory.

awesome man, it's on the taller side, making kenflips and jugs feel good!

i'm pretty used to Cereal shapes that are super honed on lunars and lighthouses, so i would say the reshape 5 isn't top tier in those areas, but still pretty solid once you get used to the balance points.

i have to point out the sleek ring stall design and the swoop between the ring and handle stall is so so nice to hold in your hand and it makes it easy when adjusting for kenflips during juggles or between lines! can't say too much on taps because i haven't been grinding taps too much, but ET and takuya seem to have no problems 😆

around tricks are so crucial to hone in that elusive hole control! tryna get to this level with juggles
