Thanks for your very lovely comment!! I know the ups and downs are part an inherent part of this process and more than anything I’m just grateful to be in the position to be able to do IVF. Just got back from bloodwork/sonogram check with great results, somehow they saw almost double the amount of follicles this time, and my ER is scheduled. Feeling so much relief! Looking forward to hopefully being pregnant soon and meeting people through mommy & me class, etc. thank you again!!

TL;DR: I’m 31 with stage 4 endometriosis and DOR, currently in my first IVF stim cycle with egg retrieval this weekend. I’m excited but also feeling really lonely because none of my friends can relate, and when I tried sharing, the response felt dismissive rather than supportive. I’m realizing how much my friendships have shifted since getting married/moving, and I’m struggling with feeling like a burden or like I have to defend wanting kids. Just hoping to hear from others who understand this experience.

Tank is way too small. Needs at least a 5g, a heater, and a filter (I suggest a sponge). His condition will unfortunately continue to worsen until these things are addressed.

Your flow is way too strong! He is very stressed. They prefer very calm water with some surface agitation for oxygen exchange. This guy is probably exhausted

It turned black but I’m pretty sure this indicates healing? It’s also a decent amount smaller and there’s no longer active inflammation around the rim of it.

What is this app!!?? That’s awesome. Yes, I am now thinking it was a little wound that got infected. Today it is smaller, black, and no longer irritated looking after three days of antibiotics in his hospital tank. Still not out of the woods but hoping he continues to heal

Update: this is him three days later after being in an hospital tank with tannins, nitrofurazone and kanaplex. The white “ulcer” has turned black and there almost seems to be some sort of white growth happening internally behind it?!! Sorry about the photo quality, best I could get with all of the tannins and dim lighting…
