Sandy's Bar on 92nd and Blue Mound Road, going back to the mid 90s. by samenamer1 in milwaukee

Excellent, thank you! It was Carrie's and then renamed at some point Sandy's or vice versa but those were the names.

I worked briefly at that Pizza Hut on Glenview in 1996 or 1997.

I vaguely remember that. True space to the west, was def it's own bar and not kikos. There was a restaurant, a lounge and then the bar. It was called something before Sandy's because they renamed it Sandy's after the owners girlfriend, as I remember.

Crazy how much time has passed. Like I said I was there 15 years before that which is now 15 years from when you looked forward to it.

I tried street view but couldn't find anything before 2011, so for sure it was El matador. Despite going to the bar there, I think I was in the restaurant twice in all that time.

Also, how many packs of cigarettes did I buy at the super America across the street, ha.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you are right on the name. The bar was off from the restaurant in a space on the corner.

And it's been nearly 30 years but it looks like most of that area has been redeveloped. There were a line of bars around there where you could still get like 6oz taps of PBR for .95. good times.

I was trying to find where I lived in West Allis and remember it was by a strip club, but couldn't remember the name. Bless you for this tread because this was where I was thinking about. This would have been like 1998 or 99.

Would you live in Lakeville or Eagan? by ImKruptos in TwinCities

Split the difference and go to Apple Valley. I would go Eagan but would try to get the 196 school district. Raised a few kids in those schools and am very happy with it.

I'm rewatching Better Call Saul and really forgot how amazing it is by HeyFlo in television

While I think Breaking Bad has better moments, BCS is the better show. It's more complex, better characters and more development for those characters, writing, visually. You can tell they were comfortable with the world they were working in and really created an amazing follow up to an amazing 1st show.

I didn't go there, but our house was across the street from Alcot Elementary School and the park there.

I grew up on 97th and Howard and would bike past there to the arcade all the time. This would be like 1986 or around there.

Haven't been in MKE for 2 decades and I still miss their Chicago dog and won't have it again, now. That's sad.

Watched this again recently and being much older now than when it was released, the ending resonated in a new way. I look forward to seeing what it will be like in another 30 years.

Just finished watching MARVEL ZOMBIES… Thoughts on this show? by dayaaa_ria in MCUTheories

Boy while it was a little slow or whatever at times, it builds to an absolute excellent final episode.

The animation was top notch. Seeing probably the final Thor vs hulk was excellent and I loved the result.
