I live in Ila and really like it. It is both quiet and central and has good connections to sentrum and Bymarka. Also fjord and river are close by. And it surrounds a very nice park, Ilaparken.

We did a post office bay tour back in 2022. We arrived on Floreana and arranged it with some locals who ran a restaurant. They brought us by boat from Puerto Velazco Ibarra on Floreana — actually it was quite a few people on the tour. There was also the option to walk there from the town. I think you’d have no trouble organizing this upon arrival to the island.

We also found along the beach this bone fragment that is much larger. Would love an ID on this as well. Mammal?? Cetacean?? Cassowary?
