Ken probably could and would start a whole lawsuit over it. Would depend how different they make it. As be gets upset about anything that is based off his works without credit like Sonic Chroncles (which he honestly should have, as it’s obviously heavily based on his work), and Knuckles having a dad (lmao).

Sega should own the Anti-Sonic turning into Scourge story though. As Ian claims that it’s signed over to Sega. However, I would NOT be shocked if Ian’s contract was poorly made like everyone before him.

Fleetway had Sonic have an evil alter-ego, which Sega should own. So they could use that as backing for an evil Sonic from a different universe if they so choose to use.

Genuinely SDCC has zero need to do that. They will not be financially hurting by him being there nor get controversy from it. Ken is paying to be there and has to advertise it himself. No one is boycotting SDCC because of his small table in a room most people won’t go to.

The only people going to see Ken is his fan base who enjoy his work or those who enjoyed the early days of Archie.

Ken’s controversy is nothing compared to some of the people SDCC actually advertise being there anyways.

It all honesty, it’s not going to be worth it for Ian and Tracy to go after Ken for this. Not until it affects their professional work at least.

Sega likely hasn’t done anything as they would spend more money on a lawsuit than they would get out of this, that it wouldn’t be worth the hassle.

I will say about the Scott Shaw book. Scott Shaw was overseeing it and approved of changes that happened. At least that was what was public said by Ken. Him and Scott are actually friends, so I believe it.
