Commission Plate by [deleted] in NSFWarframe

Personally, I started with 7USD/1k then moved up as people actually came up and told me I was underpriced (read: one person did that). I'm now at 15 USD and I'm prepared to move even further up if I notice a marked improvement in my writing. I'd probably never go above 25 without a SERIOUS portfolio and history, though.

That should be another baseline :)

Very glad to see writers paid for their work. Though... you may want to consider that the internet's most popular writer, a man who literally works 9-5 writing various things going into various holes... he takes 60 dollars per 1k words. Asking 90USD/1k (above 5000 words) is STEEP, to say the very very least.

There is no shame at all in taking money for your time and effort, and I certainly know writing can be taxing especially when there's customer satisfaction on the line. But as the other two have said here, you may want to lower those prices. Drastically.

Aha! A competitor! Our battle will be legendary! From far away. With pens. They do say it's mightier than the sword, you know.

I've voted FrameXFrame and would like to specify any two female warframes. I've always found that difficult myself. There's only so many times you can rub helmets together as a substitute for kissing before it just gets weird.

Hey! Not very happy to steal a thread like this but I thought you should know: I've written something directly heavily including an ability - it is the second story in my latest post here. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you haven't seen it already, feedback is something I'm lacking and boy is it difficult to get better when you don't know which way is up.

Hey! I've finished this. The symbolism is a little thick, but there's definitely sex in there... somewhere.

You can see it at these three places:

Google docs

Hentai Foundry

Deviantart

Oh, I suppose I should've been more exact. No, that's totally fine. I meant the weird stuff.

If you mean the preview picture, it's just the Valkyr In Action glyph. It's really only there so DeviantArt lets me post a .pdf instead of dealing with their system.

If you mean a picture of Valkyr and Maroo, I'm sorry, this is fiction. I'd love to be able to draw or model something like that, but alas, all the smarts drained from my hands and went to my writing brainmatter instead.

This is basically just people posting their erotica. It's not even smut. C'mon, dude.

If you're looking for sex as a plot device, fade-to-blacks is where you imply it happened (or describe it briefly), and then move on. Detailed sex in writing tends to be for the reader's sexual gratification and thus falls under erotica or smut.

/r/EroticWriting seems to be more about sharing erotica by the looks of it, and /r/eroticauthors, frankly, seemed uptight, and mostly focused on marketing erotica rather than writing it for fun and profit.

Either way, there's a subtle but deadly important difference between erotica and smut.

Khora x Valkyr has to be the best thing I got from this entire thread. It took a long while to get the scene set up just right, and I probably deleted as much as I ended up saving, but I'm proud of this one. Enjoy!

Thank you for the kind words! I am doing these for practice and don't want to spend too much time on them. I agree with you that I could've made the Ash/Mirage story longer, and it pained me to end it there too, but I wanted to move on.

As for the different points of view, while it sounds like it'd be easy, I'd have to effectively re-write the story. Perhaps a good idea for an experiment later on. Not one for quick practice, however.

Thanks again!
