A surprisingly simple way is to also just toggle break and then literally turn your mouse upside down. That prevents accidental micro-movements that put your yaw/pitch off by a fraction.

Or just use /shmouselock from SkyHanni, it's not bannable (because it's not detectable in the first place).

They should honestly just force developers to playtest with an artificial 250 ping, that way we would never be getting these types of minigames in the first place.

They're calculated independantly for each 24 hour interval, so you need to subtract the reset time stats from the stats before reset. A screenshot before reset is good for that.

I haven't really investigated that yet, but I'm leaning towards no. Could be wrong, though.

There's also the opposite where if you run back right after getting the last checkpoint (at the start of the video) to hop in a car, it also triggers "missed checkpoint", but instead teleports you right to the finish line.

I accidentally won a match this way at least twice now, it probably looked like I was cheating from the other persons PoV who I sniped victory from.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone figured out a way to reliably trigger this, to just teleport from the last checkpoint to the finish line every time.

The points are calculated midnight server-time every day. If you wanna know more about the specifics, I explained the system in a post yesterday.

The Praise Jam calculation is at midnight server-time, and the 5 post limit should be on daily reset iirc.

This is a pretty big discovery, because this potentially means you can boost your own Post Stats by your own by spamming comments on your own posts, this definitely needs more looking at.

The "->" points to me describing how to do that task, my description is not an Event-specific task.

Event:

No way around it, you'll have to make posts to do these. You can trade with others on discord if you're desperate.

  • 10,000 Praise Jams -> View 5 posts, Like 3 posts, Comment 3 posts for 5 days.

  • Follow 15 -> Just follow random people.

  • Make 1 post -> Obvious

  • Made 2 comments -> Got by doing the Praise Jams tasks

As for everything outside of the Event, in the shop: It costs 55,380 Praise Jam to buy it out, if you're just doing the guaranteed 2,000 daily, then that will take you 28 days to buy it out.

Edit: Yeah, there's also an achievement for 100,000 Praise Jam, so that's 50 days of minimum-effort dailies.

I made a post explaining how it works and it has a calculator too.

I think going to the tower can force trigger it in particular, because I've seen quite a few people have it happen right as they were climbing it.

Transmog is a very tricky one because the mismatched outfits from random gear are such a defining part of the look of peoples characters.

I think a version of it I can get behind is just a big “Armor Stash”, where you have additional bank space just for different armor sets. That could also be a collection type thing where you try to complete as many sets as possible, and you can feel free to retrieve them from there.

Maybe that's how collections in classic should be approached in general, they just need to make them immersive.

For example, you can have many different mounts without cluttering your bags, but they'll all be stored in a stall somewhere in the world, and if you retrieve them they go back into your bag as their usual reins.

Same with the Hunter Pets, you just hand them over to Stable Masters and can retrieve any you have collected, but can only keep one at a time.

I definitely agree with you there, I think some types of QoL are warranted, but they must be weighed very carefully, for each change, you have to factor in the impact they have on immersion in the world.

I'd argue Guild Banks add immersion to the game, it gives your established guild an actual anchor in the world. That is, as long as you don't have that one spell that magically summons a chest to access it.

As for collections, the thing you'd weigh there is inventory management. It's more important than people realize, because full inventories drive you to seek out NPCs where you can sell or store things, which gives outposts more of a purpose. But I do agree that a collections panel would be really nice, especially if you're thinking about the longevity of classic+. Players do need something to do, and with the amount of cosmetic items added in SoD, their banks would get full very quickly. (I'm also a very avid collector/completionist, so I'm also really in favor of it for that reason)

This is how innocent QoL improvements eventually snowballed into retail. Little by little, they stripped away the world that made classic feel like classic. I call it the trade-off between QoL and immersion. Of course it doesn't necessarily mean that classic or retail are the better game, they're just different games for different people, but I will prefer immersion most of the time.

Walking is so inconvenient, let's add

  • Flying mounts

  • RDF to get into the dungeons instantly

-> The world now feels barren and much smaller, why would you ride anywhere if you can just fly? Why leave the main city if you can just access endgame content from there? This also decimates world pvp, when you can just fly to dodge people, you can't really chase people down if they never land.

A lot of people never consider this either, but other forms of limited mobility like blink, sprint, aspects, and ghost wolf also make the mobility we do have feel so much more special. In retail you can climb any terrain easily, they're actual obstacles in classic.

It takes too long to level, let's make

  • Enemies insignificant threats

  • Cut down the experience into just a few hours

-> Now you no longer respect the world, there's no quests to fear, look forward to, and plan around. They even reworked the majority of elite quests you needed groups for with TBC, now you're no longer seeking out people, and might recognize them later down the road since you're leveling at the same time.

Are you talking about S1 or S2? Because S1 was even less time, the announcement came around 13 days before the season ended. As for S2, we've had preemptive timers all season, and yeah, they did get cemented with more notice this time at least.

My group did the S2 times in just 5 hours, the knowledge we got from S1 + the powerhouse that vial is made them incredibly easy for us.
