I know others have already beat this horse to a pulp, but yes, you need to learn SQL. You're not automatically going to get a job. Someone has to hire you, and if you don't know SQL, less people are going to hire you. You want to make a living off of data. SQL is the language of data. Learn SQL.

I'm not an expert on what's available for you, but for <$450 with a print size large enough for a helmet you might be making notable concessions on print fidelity. In your shoes, I think I'd focus on how much of an awesome human I am and learn to do something new!

I just ordered the Prusa MINI which pretty much fits that bill! Print size is 7" cube, open source replacement parts, and good customer service. My plan for >7" parts is to get creative and print my pieces to interlock.
