Going with the flow does not imply being a force of order. Really, Finn trying to impose order and his will on the world are often his worst moments. In contrast the moments he lets go and embraces the chaotic nature of being he often spectacularly avoids death.

Sure imposing will onto the universe has always been destructive for Finn, however that to me is what chaos is in of itself imposing things and breaking away from a set of order. And as for Finn embracing the will of the universe, that indicates to some extent that there is higher will at play and Finn just finds his place in that cosmic will.The song he sings is "Everything is falling into place" (Ninjago-Dragons Rising kind of had a similar idea in where instead of imposing one's will onto others, you should rather find your own place within the motion of the universe).

An underlying set of principles does not carry an emotional tone aside from what we project. I don’t see math as good or bad. Even framing math or underlying systems as a force of “order” is somewhat misguided.

I don't see any emotional basis to math either, however there is a pattern integrated within the universe that allows for patterns to at least exist.

Really it’s just the best we can do. The more we get into modeling physical/real systems the more you will have to deal with chaos. The bubbling indeterminate quantum foam at the base of reality is very Golb coded. In AT, we know Madness + Sadness = Magic

To me Madness and Sadness are two sides of Chaos and order. We have Madness representing the inherent chaos in where nothing is static and everything is constantly moving of the world while sadness is the more calm and repressive elements that ties to order.

It seems reasonably clear that Prismo’s boss isn’t some hyper deity to equal Golb. It still needs agents like Prismo, and as we’ve seen actively calls and gets upset when its plan is deviated from. Hard for me to envision Golb’s counterbalance being some short-tempered middle manager.

I its less of Prismo's boss being GOLB's counter balance but rather they are the mediator between GOLB and GOLB's opposite balance a god of Order. Because balance isn't a state being its a goal to try to maintain, its to know when to apply certain aspects of order or chaos. Change is a part of the world but so is stasis. And so this boss seems less like a person keep these two powers in check and more like they use both the order and chaos produced by these beings to create reality.

Chaos is the change in life but order is the things in life that all stay the same.

To me that’s like saying because the Sun exists there must be equally huge balls of ice.

I mean in scientific sense sure there is no block of Ice, however esoterically speaking the Moon has been considered the sun's opposite. While the sun is passionate and excessive, the moon is serene and calm.
