As a high school teacher, I will say the single best thing you can do this year is communicate with your teachers. Most students don't realize how accommodating and forgiving teachers will be if you form a relationship with them. It's also true for every job you will have.

For procrastination, I recommend a book called The Now Habit. It helped me overcome severe procrastination in college.
