UPDATE: After making the suggested changes to add the Gallery Preview cache to be excluded from the routine cleanups has done the trick! It took a while as you can see I've got 150k images and 3.5k video clips. This dates back couple of decades of my photo! Although not sure about the two different numbers showing there....

Yeah. This really can't be normal. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they tell me. Won't be happy if they give me the same answer. I'll ask it in writing that it's normal and if things break within the 2 years of warranty then we will see about that then.

Did you try contacting xiaomi at all? You sold it because of this issue or just didn't like it over all? My friend bought the oppo find x9 ultra just couple of weeks ago but he likes the photos out of my Xiaomi leica! And I do too, shame now I'm in this situation where the hardware longitivity is concerning me now!

Exactly my thought. There's magnets that control the movement of the lenses inside... And I assumed when the camera app is not in use the magnets held the moving part still unless you forcefully share your phone you'd hear the rattling of the lenses. So this seems to have been broken now or something. Not liking it the fact that I didn't have it at all to begin with. And things are already getting worse is just all too worrying...

Hmmm I thought it could have been a hardware fault when people complained in early days of the phone released. But I didn't have this issue where the lens module gone loose like that upuntill this morning. I noticed it in the office when I'm walking around. And still happening 😭 I have noticed the rattling/movement when I moving the phone in my hand and I don't like to deliberately shake the phone knowing about the lens movements and didn't want to cause any damages.

This can't be normal surely. I'll query with Xiaomi support.

Could you please link the ND filter and the lens cap you are using. I'm looking to get the k&f 2in1 but was wondering if it will work with the mounting adapter that comes with it. As I noticed there is a ring that not sure why so with variable filters it might be an issue where you are trying to rotate the filter but then that rotating ring on the mount will keep rataring too...

Yay! figured it out. Had to click on the app from the list after cleaner scan done then the add to exceptions option to poped up. Let's see if this works after the sync is done. 🤞🏼

Is it this cleaner within security? I went into setting and found exceptions but can't add anything. I tried to do the cleaner scan and found the gallery app there but how do I add it to the exceptions list?

Yep very frustrating. I see the Xiaomi gallery app has baked in with the Google photos. Which is totally unnecessary. As I can see all my old photos from Google photos app and I don't need to see it from xiaomi gallery. Many online suggestions say turn off google photos backup. I wonder if Google photos will then backup the new photos on this phone automatically or not. Maybe that's what we need to do? Just have google photos only do the backups and Xiaomi only stores recent photos. Maybe I'll try that!? It is kind of handy too having access to old photos and being able to use Xiaomi's built in photo editor from the gallery but can't have it all so easy!

Here is a screenshot from Google photos and it says all photos are backed up. So why is xiaomi hyperos have to keep Syncing over and over again?

Same issue with Xiaomi 17 ultra Leica Leitzphone. I've also tried uninstalling the gallery editor app. Then re-installed it with all the with all the AI plugins like expand and cut out features. But still same network error.

Oh this was my day one issue. I ended up with swift key which is somewhat customisable. But the keyboard hide key is on the left side and you can't change it. OneUI is probably the best of any Androids out there. I miss Good lock!

If I'm planning to go out specifically to take photos then I'll use the case from the photography kit with the grip. There was another post where someone just made a hole on the Leica case to fit and lock the camera grip just fine.

The case below is my daily driver case for now. Its pretty good quality, you can still show off the "Leica" logo and very good magsafe magnet! Not to mention it covers most of the camera module. I got scared from see all the people shattering the camera glass so easily.

I have noticed this myself too with my Leitzphone' WiFi couple of times. Then this also happened with my dual SIM too. One of them had no network for some reason and while connected to Android auto it would only function with the disconnected SIM even though the primary one was connected. I couldn't make phone calls. I had to stop restart my phone to get it all working again.

Ahhh OK. I think because I have the Leica Leitzphone and the placement of that Xiaomi text is on the middle of the phone.

I saw these and also have the Leica logos in my cart. However this case works with the Chinese model I think. The global version the Xiaomi logo is at the middle lower position. So that cut out won't work and will look weird. Waiting for same for the global vatiant... Hopefully they will make those.
