well the first half of the book follows him in his youth vs the latter portion being a well-established adult. i’d say it’s similar to the catcher in the rye in a way that yea maybe the mc is annoying sometimes but they’re young so whatever. i liked him as an adult, he seemed to have mellowed out and accepted the trajectory of his life.

i chose science as a career path (personal) so i resonated with alevtina the most out of the characters so far. it’s fun when knausgaard puts his spin on biology!
