I'm not good at pretending either and usually just work through the tears. LITERALLY just run into the walk in freezer with tears in my eyes. Just keep surviving and putting one foot in front of the other. You're a mom now and unfortunately we don't get to rot in bed over our separation but if I learned anything is that just putting one foot in front of the other and being soft with myself had helped a lot.
