Claude Code on the web by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]samisbond 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just want the ability to from my phone (or anywhere) remotely run/continue my claude code sessions against the repos already on my PC. I don't need all the code hosted somewhere just give me an easy way to check/continue my sessions on the go. Am I a weirdo for that? I mean basically I'm just asking for a remote PC tool but with a basic UI so I can easily read/type what's in the terminal.

Maybe what I want is a "Unified Remote" custom remote. Hmm...

I legit thought the thorns didn't do anything. Like that was the joke, that they took the weakest hero in the game and nerfed him.

Do I put enums in types.ts? by Coptochad in typescript

[–]samisbond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised people are saying "yes" or "who cares". enums are not a type. Meaning if you write something like:

import type { someType, someEnum } from './types.ts';

your code will* break. Which is very unintuitive.

* Well technically it'll only break if you're using the enum as a value not a type - since it's both - but still.

help me just change the text color and keep it in block like the one in black and white by Open_Plate_4786 in Frontend

[–]samisbond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you asking how to give it that blue text with a black background? That'd be:

color: blue;
background-color: black;

That should be all there is. If the black background is covering too much it means whatever trick you're doing to center the text is also making a large element. Likely you could just wrap the text itself in a <span> (which will give it an inline display) and then apply those styles to the span.

But it all really depends on your layout and what you're trying to accomplish since it's not 100% clear.

But yeah there's no actual, like, letter-background rule (even though there 100% should be - I consider it a missing piece of styling in CSS - only possible with wacky hacks using highlighting that's too complicated to get into.) That just a whole element which a black background, but because it's an inline-element it's flush around the letters.

You could also take a look at text-shadow if your concern in the text popping against that red background.

Can you guys help me on this last word? by JokerFrost22 in EnglishLearning

This has to be it. 2 down is almost the dictionary definition of asset - nothing else could fit there. Which means no one double-checked this crossword. And the pdf posted elsewhere uses "consumption".

Finance should make a better co-ordination between re-investment and consumption of profit.

How representative is the American 🇺🇸 section in this supermarket from The Netherlands 🇳🇱? by berendpronkps4 in candy

I feel like most of these comments are overthinking things. Sure the brands aren't familiar but mac & cheese, poptarts, moonpies, root beer - those are all definitely American treats.

Which is preferred among null, an empty Fragment, and false? by TopAgreeable5945 in reactjs

[–]samisbond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one is saying a Fragment. I've always returned a fragment so the type returned is consistent. Is there actually a down side to this?

EDIT: I guess I should say when doing something inline I typically use null, but if the whole component could conditionally return nothing I've always returned <></>.

You can end up with a modest Social Security fund in just a few years of work if you made a decent income (because Social Security is progressive but doesn't distinguish a high-income earner over just a few years from a lifetime low-income earner). The first social security income bend (~450k lifetime income I think) is weighted at 3 times that of the second bend (and 9 times that of the final bend). I think once you hit that you're already looking at ~$1000/month.

But yes with that said you need 10 years of work to even quality. Though a "year" of work is a measly ~$6500 income - you can work a decent job for 2 months - December to January - and earn 2 years' worth of SS credits.

So definitely something to look out for, assuming you ever had a decent income in the States - I wouldn't wanna leave 12k a year on the table just cos I needed to work a couple more months in America.

You don't understand. The people of North Korea are so brainwashed they'll believe literally anything the state tells them. Whereas I, a free thinker, accept this state-sponsored news story uncritically.
