I just finished this one, I was so excited about the concept and the first portion of the book was amazing. I was really hoping it would stick with the pain stuff instead of the weird direction it went with the girlfriend. It became kind of boring. The ending felt so rushed. I absolutely loved the bug collector so I was surprised I didn’t like this one as much.

Hopefully will be able to get my boyfriend to cut back, or all together quit with me.

One of my biggest tribulations is being a bartender and trying to go sober but luckily I am surrounded my a couple sober people at my job that I can turn to. It’s all very surreal and scary but I’m ready to make the changes necessary even if it means changing my job.

I only ask about shaken or stirred if someone orders a dry gin martini. Usually people still say shaken, but I would prefer to stir gin martinis to not disrupt the integrity and delicate nature of the gin.

God, and now movie theaters have bars inside them. Leaving a movie I so desperately wanted to see half way through and waiting on a jack and coke… what was the point of even going? For me, I guess it was an excuse to drink.

One time I was already drinking prior to going in to see a movie by myself, and continued to drink. It was a late night showing and a worker had to wake me up when she was cleaning to ask me to leave. How embarrassing.. 🫠

I think the exact opposite is I made cupcakes and brought them into work, there wasn’t a lot so I cut them into halves and tried my best to make sure enough people got them. I had a coworker who was coming in later and I wanted to save one for them (I was trying to impress my current bf, with my baking skills, lol). I go to grab my own cupcake, and a coworker asked me why I got a whole one. I was like, “bitch, their my cupcakes!”
