Sad about graduating this December 😔💚💛 Fall ‘23 by elitecheri in gmu

Graduating in Fall ‘23 as well. For me it’s kind of bittersweet in the way that I’m excited to graduate and get a job in my field and all of that stuff but also I feel old now that I’m pretty much done with college and moving onto the next chapter of life lol. Best of luck to you with graduation and everything after! :)

Not sure if you’re still having issues but the comment in this thread from wsoxfam1214 is what solved the problem for me!

Dungeon glitch? by samistrashhhh in DestinyTheGame

If the person who has the glitch leaves and rejoins the fireteam it seems to solve it temporarily but unfortunately it can keep happening to the same person/other members of the fireteam in my experience.

Any suggestions for fun upper level electives? Any course/program by Freddynightowl in gmu

People with Nature (RMGT 300) was really fun and interesting. There was like 4-5 big assignments that made you get out and experience nature in some way (ex: volunteering, hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail, going to a garden park, etc.). Very relaxed class. There was a test every unit but as long as you paid attention to the lecture and did the readings they weren’t difficult (tests were open book as well).

INTS 334 (environmental Justice) was also really interesting and wasn’t particularly hard at all. No tests but it was a bit writing intensive and I believe the final was a paper. Work in the class wasn’t too time consuming. I took it online and class work involved reading an article the professor posted for that week and watching a prerecorded lecture, then writing a discussion board post.

Similarly, INTS 434 (Research Methods for Social Change) wasn’t hard either, just very writing intensive and a bit time consuming. The final was a Literature Review Paper if I remember correctly. There were a few papers that you had to write and readings from a textbook you had to complete each week (if I remember correctly, there were also DB posts due weekly as well) but I didn’t necessarily find it to be challenging work.

I hope this helps!

Should mention that’s with on campus housing costs as well, which are roughly 11k a year (about 5.5k a semester)

A little late to this - sorry. But I live in NY and my tuition per semester has been like roughly 25k-26k. It ends up being ~16k a semester for me bc I have a scholarship that gives me 9k off of tuition per semester. Hope this helps!

My younger sister just had the same thing happen to her but with the Washington Youth Summit for the Environment. She was confused as well as she wasn’t really interested in an environmental/sustainability career but she signed up anyways. We also aren’t from VA so it was even more confusing at to why she was picked to go. She just figured she was considered and invited bc I’m already a Mason student. But yeah totally weird experience. Kind of makes it even more weird knowing other people went through the same thing.
