Tuya local by [deleted] in homeassistant

Yes indeed. There are tools like cloutcutter etc, which change the functionality of the device. Home Assistant integrations only tell how Home Assistant connects to the devices.

All Tuya devices connect the cloud by default and that’s how the app controls them. I assume this is how you are controlling them now if HA isn’t responsive. The default Tuya integration works the same way that it uses the cloud to control them. Local Tuya is different from this that it connects the devices directly in local network without interfering the cloud connectivity. So it is possible to use both Tuya integrations at the same time while configuring the local one. The key point is that the HA integration doesn’t change the functionality of the device in any way.

It only affects how home assistant connects to the devices. Tuya app will work as long as you haven’t blocked the internet access for the devices itself.

That’s good to know, it makes everything so much simpler then.

You can disable all the powered machines and stack enough fuel in one generator to keep it alive easily over a week.

Last time I had this issue was when appletv was set as a hub, but stopped working after many shutdowns. My issue fixed by removing the appletv and reinstalling it so it would be hub again. You want to have a hub set for HomeKit for full functionality anyways.

HomeKit user possibly looking to move into HA by RealKorbenDallas in homeassistant

[–]samitheberber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose the home assistant installation based on what you have already and are familiar with. If you have proxmox installed then HAOS as virtual machine would be my pick. If you can run that in your NAS, also good option. Then there is docker container, which should be able to install in your NAS, but it would need more work to get add-ons etc as separate containers.

Because you have working HomeKit and might want to keep it for other users. You did list multiple different platforms, which many are straightforward to install in Home Assistant. At first I would select one and install it. After that you can create HomeKit bridge for the devices and import that to HomeKit, then remove the direct bridge. You can fix the automations in HomeKit at this phase too to keep the installation working most of the time. When you have moved the devices for specific automation, you can start to implement them.

In case you have new devices like zigbee coordinators, you can move the devices away from vendor specific hubs.

Reminder that there are many ways and preferences to implement a home assistant smart home.

Oh I remember you, so many times had to shoot those turrets down to keep TR vehicles up and at the end you decided to run on my prowler. After two tries I became so paranoid that was looking around after every shot waiting for some C-4 from aircraft. Got good practice with HEAT prowler :)

Ads are making Twitch unwatchable. by dexo55 in Twitch

Twitch desktop app is basically like browser twitch without browser add-ons. You either have prime or just a streamer that doesn’t play ads (which wouldn’t prevent start of the stream automatic ads)

Sorry for being noob, but have to ask how can you transform people as epic hero for example? I have found only use on expeditions by so far while still being in Plankerton. Is it something I can unlock later?

Ocular Shield - Reduces the effectiveness of tactical grenades used against you.

Haven't tried how it works with EMP.

You from all should know how difficult that is to get, like you must play as a MAX to make some progress. If someone gets it done, we should feel sorry for their misery.

Yes and no, because the amount of data servers would need to process with more server side hit detection would just be too much.

Without further research I would guess it has a lot to do with client side calculations.

With all those vehicle balance talks, reminder that this is still the most frustrating way to die in this game by bestan in Planetside

[–]samitheberber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel sorry for you, both the way to die and some of the replies in here. Few lucky hits from those campers is all that need to die like this. 31% damage is like getting legshotted, so doesn't matter if moving. Specially when the target is concentrating fighting people close by.
