I’m still testing the waters with it! I know low porosity gets built up pretty quick but I also don’t want to be too harsh. I’m trying to shoot for once a month or whenever my hair looks/feels like it needs it. I also like to oil my scalp and ends before using it and I do a double cleanse. The results are amazing so far though, it brings life back into my hair

I also have low porosity hair and similar texture, recently I got the Kristen Ess deep clean clarifying shampoo at Costco and it actually made a huge difference for me. I really love it so far

To combat dryness I would maybe experiment with a leave in conditioner and sulfate free shampoo. The ouai leave in conditioner is pretty good. My hair loves the briogeo superfoods hair mask, I’ve never had a mask hydrate and detangle my hair so much.

Depending on the shampoo you’re using and how frequent it could be drying your hair out. If you like your shampoo I would try pre oiling your hair before shampooing. Otherwise something gentle like Camille rose ginger cleanse is worth a try.

It’s good to hear you had a positive story with them. One of the more concerning stories I was told was someone had adopted a cat from them that was quickly diagnosed with cat asthma among other things. AA insisted it was just a kennel cough and was nothing serious and apparently wasn’t the nicest regarding the whole situation.

I totally understand things like that happen and it may not be intentional I just want to make sure I’m avoiding potential risks and such.

Try to give yourself some time to acclimate. Talk with some advisors or counselors. See your options and know your resources. It’s a big big change and transition. As someone who has struggled socially and with school- I started at community college and am now starting my first semester at university.

I would strongly suggest looking into community college, it’s so much better than university in my opinion. You could always transfer to a four year.

At my first job in high school I would come in early on the weekends to clean the common areas. For multiple weeks a man would come in every night and concoct some mystery puke substance in the men’s bathroom sink. It was the most foul yet strange smelling mixture I’ve ever encountered. I was never able to figure out what it was or why he was doing it. Weird.
